More specifically, the apparatus for evaluating the performance of used golf balls and converting physical properties through gamma ray and electromagnetic wave-based non-destructive testing comprises: a non-destructive testing unit that measures the state of the internal structure of a used golf ball by irradiating a collected used golf ball with gamma rays and electromagnetic waves; a data analysis unit that evaluates the performance of a used golf ball based on the state information of the internal structure of the used golf ball measured through the non-destructive testing unit; and a physical property conversion unit that restores the degraded internal physical properties of a used golf ball through a process of changing the internal physical properties of the used golf ball based on the evaluation results analyzed through the data analysis unit. In addition, the method for evaluating the performance of a used golf ball and converting its physical properties through gamma ray and electromagnetic wave-based non-destructive testing according to the features of the present invention is characterized by comprising: (1) a step in which a non-destructive testing unit irradiates gamma rays and electromagnetic waves onto a collected used golf ball to measure the state of the internal structure of the used golf ball; (2) a step in which a data analysis unit evaluates the performance of the used golf ball based on the state information of the internal structure of the used golf ball measured through the non-destructive testing unit; and (3) a step in which a physical property conversion unit restores the degraded internal physical properties of the used golf ball through a process of changing the internal physical properties of the used golf ball based on the evaluation results analyzed through the data analysis unit. According to the apparatus and method for evaluating the performance and converting physical properties of a used golf ball through gamma ray and electromagnetic wave-based non-destructive testing proposed in the present invention, the apparatus comprises a non-destructive testing unit that measures the state of the internal structure of a used golf ball by irradiating a collected used golf ball with gamma rays and electromagnetic waves, a data analysis unit that evaluates the performance of a used golf ball based on the state information of the internal structure of the used golf ball measured by the non-destructive testing unit, and a physical property conversion unit that restores the degraded internal physical properties of a used golf ball through a process of changing the internal physical properties of the used golf ball based on the evaluation results analyzed by the data analysis unit. By comprising these components, it is possible to inspect whether the performance and quality of a used golf ball have deteriorated in a non-destructive manner using gamma rays and electromagnetic waves, and to restore the ball's distance and overall performance by converting the internal physical properties of the golf ball based on this. In addition, according to the apparatus and method for evaluating the performance and converting physical properties of used golf balls through gamma ray and electromagnetic wave-based non-destructive inspection of the present invention, the performance and quality degradation of used golf balls can be inspected in a non-destructive manner using gamma rays and electromagnetic waves, and based on this, the physical properties inside the golf ball can be converted to restore the ball's distance and overall performance. This allows for increased use of used golf balls that are discarded after a single use, thereby preserving the ecological environment and reducing the use of raw materials and energy required for golf ball production. Furthermore, it is possible to provide economic and environmental benefits simultaneously by restoring the performance of used golf balls while increasing their recyclability.

Description

Performance Evaluation and Material Transformation Device and Method for Used Golf Ball Through a Combination of Gamma-ray and Electromagnetic Wave-Based Non-Destructive Inspection The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for evaluating the performance and converting physical properties of a used golf ball through gamma ray and electromagnetic wave-based non-destructive testing. More specifically, the invention relates to an apparatus and method for evaluating the performance and converting physical properties of a used golf ball through gamma ray and electromagnetic wave-based non-destructive testing that uses gamma rays and electromagnetic waves to non-destructively inspect whether the performance and quality of the used golf ball have deteriorated, and based on this, converts the physical properties inside the golf ball to restore the ball's distance and overall performance. The content described in this section merely provides background information regarding an embodiment of the present invention and does not constitute prior art. Generally, a golf ball consists of an internal core surrounded by a dimple-formed covering layer, with paint and a coating layer formed on the outer surface of the covering layer. Golf balls formed in this way are mainly used at home or on indoor and outdoor golf courses, and over time, the paint and coating layers may peel off due to collisions with golf clubs, and in severe cases, even the dimple-formed covering layer may be damaged. Most of these used golf balls are disposed of, raising concerns about serious environmental pollution. Consequently, methods to regenerate and recycle used golf balls have recently been proposed to prevent this. In this context, the recycling of used golf balls involves restoring those rendered unusable due to surface wear or defects through surface polishing and injection molding. Furthermore, the performance of golf balls can deteriorate over time due to the environment and frequency of use. In particular, used golf balls experience a decline in performance, such as distance and spin, due to physical damage and changes in their internal structure. Previously, quality inspections were conducted by checking only for external defects; however, performance could not be verified regarding internal damage or deformation. Moreover, there was a problem in that recycling was difficult except for disposal, particularly regarding performance degradation caused by internal damage or deformation.
