Description
Dimmable traffic lights with anti-glare function The present invention relates to a dimmable signal light, and more specifically, to a dimmable signal light having a reliable anti-glare function by measuring an accurate illuminance value by means of an interference prevention unit provided on the outer side of an illuminance detection unit and controlling the illuminance of the signal light using this value. Traffic lights are used to ensure safe traffic order on roads where vehicles operate. Traffic lights are typically configured to form a single lighting unit by combining basic signals such as red (Red, R), yellow (Yellow, Y), green (Green, G), and arrow (A), and lighting control is performed through a traffic signal controller to suit the road environment. Recently, there has been an increasing trend in the use of LED (Light Emitting Diode) traffic lights, which consume one-eighth the power of conventional incandescent traffic lights and provide an energy saving effect of about 80% to 90% at the same luminous intensity. When such LED traffic lights operate during nighttime hours, they cause problems such as driving interference due to glare as well as unnecessary power loss. To solve this problem, conventional LED traffic lights are equipped with a dimming control function (i.e., a dimming control function) to adjust the illumination level of the traffic lights during nighttime hours. One of the technologies regarding such a traffic light dimming control system is disclosed in Registered Utility Model Publication No. 20-0354926. According to the aforementioned prior art, ambient brightness is measured using a light sensor, such as an illuminance sensor, and the brightness of an LED traffic light is adjusted based on this. However, in conventional traffic lights, since the illuminance sensor is positioned between the LEDs of the LED traffic light, interference occurs due to light scattered from the LEDs, making it difficult to accurately measure illuminance. Meanwhile, traffic signal controllers can generally be classified into integrated controllers that operate vehicle and pedestrian traffic lights according to a set program, or flashing-only controllers that make yellow lights flash at night. However, in the case of flashing-only controllers, the lack of a dimming control function results in traffic lights that are too bright for use in residential areas or densely populated apartment complexes, causing problems such as discomfort to residents. FIG. 1 is a schematic diagram of a dimming signal light having an anti-glare function according to the present invention. FIG. 2 is a block diagram of a dimming signal light having an anti-glare function according to the present invention. FIG. 3 is an electrical circuit diagram of a dimming signal light having an anti-glare function according to the present invention. Hereinafter, preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the attached drawings so that a person skilled in the art to which the present invention pertains can easily practice the present invention. The present invention relates to a dimming signal light for controlling the operation of a signal light operating in a dimming mode, comprising a signal indicator lamp (200), an illuminance detection unit (310), an interference prevention unit (230), and a microcomputer (300). The traffic light is controlled to flash or dim by a traffic signal controller (100). To be more specific, the traffic signal controller (100) supplies AC voltage to drive the traffic light. In the case of an integrated controller that controls the traffic light according to a set program, it supplies AC voltage via radio waves or half waves and controls the brightness of the traffic light using a phase control method. In the case of a flashing-only controller, it always supplies AC voltage via radio waves to control the traffic light at a constant brightness. The present invention is intended to control the dimming of a traffic light using an AC voltage generated by a traffic signal controller comprising one or more controllers selected from an integrated controller or a flashing-only controller. That is, the traffic signal controller may be an integrated controller, or a flashing-only controller, or a combination of an integrated controller and a flashing-only controller. The signal indicator lamp (200) is installed and used in a traffic light used to guide traffic signals on a road, such as a pedestrian signal light or a vehicle signal light. The signal indicator lamp (200) has a plurality of LEDs built in, and can display colors such as red, yellow, or green, or visually display shapes such as arrows. To describe above, the signal indicator lamp (200) may include a substrate (210) installed on the body of the signal light to which a plurality of LEDs are connected, and a protective cover (220) made of a transparent or translucent material that protects the LEDs and the substrat
