KR-20260064339-A - Ankle brace
Abstract
The present invention relates to a three-strand ankle brace, comprising: an ankle fitting part having an opening formed at the top for inserting a foot, a foot fitting part formed on the side that passes through to the toes and instep and is exposed, and which is coupled to wrap around a portion of the heel, sole, and instep; and cross grip support bands each connected to the bottom surface of the foot fitting part on both sides and attached to each other in a cross-link manner. A female Velcro fastener is formed on the outer surface or rear of the foot fitting part of the body part, and a male Velcro fastener is formed on the outer surface of the cross grip support band, so that the male Velcro fastener is attached to the outer surface or rear of the foot fitting part by crossing the cross grip support bands on both sides and is fixed.

Description
Three-stripe ankle brace The present invention relates to a three-stripe ankle brace, and more specifically, to a three-stripe ankle brace worn to distribute excessive load applied to the ankle and to protect the ankle ligaments from injury. Generally, the ankle is the part of the body where the leg and foot are connected; more specifically, it is the joint where the two bones of the lower leg, the fibula and the tibia, meet the malleolus of the foot. It is a joint used when walking or running and is the part that bears the most weight. In particular, the ankle is composed of ligaments made of tough fibrous tissue that connect the bones; however, with the recent increase in the number of people participating in sports, constant pressure and stress are being placed on the ankles, leading to frequent cases of ankle ligaments stretching or tearing. In the case of these ankle ligaments, damage to the ankle ligaments is a condition that can be caused by minor factors, to the extent that it is called a lifestyle foot disease, and it occurs easily in people with unstable walking or running postures. Three-stripe ankle braces frequently utilize ankle bands made of materials such as natural fibers and rubber. These bands maintain the ankle's position and protect it by elastically compressing it while allowing for movement. The three-stripe ankle brace is worn on the foot and ankle to prevent excessive extension of the ankle as it flexes at various angles. Korean Patent Application No. 10-2022-01764853 discloses a three-strand ankle brace. According to the prior art patent, the device comprises: an ankle fitting portion formed to exert fixing force so as to be worn on a user's ankle and maintained in close contact with the skin; a pneumatic pad portion installed to partially or completely wrap around the ankle on the ankle fitting portion, which expands or restores depending on the inflow or outflow of air, and is formed to fix the ankle so as not to invert or evert when expanded; an air injection portion installed to inject air into the pneumatic pad portion at a set pressure; and an air discharge portion installed to discharge the air from the pneumatic pad portion, which has been injected and expanded through the air injection portion, to the outside. Conventional technology had the disadvantages of being cumbersome to wear, lacking the ability to distribute the ankle load to the soles and calves since it only supported the ankle, and causing discomfort when wearing shoes due to its thick thickness. In addition, among conventional technologies, the sleeve type had a weak ankle support, and the taping type was thick, making it difficult to wear shoes and go about daily life.
