Description
Food recognition and voice guidance smart glasses for the visually impaired The present invention relates to food recognition and voice guidance glasses for the visually impaired, and more specifically, to a food guidance device through a small speaker in the part where the ear is positioned so that when the visually impaired person is placed close to the smart glasses when picking up food, they can receive auditory information about what kind of food it is based on the object identified by the glasses. Food is a vital part of the human diet, corresponding to the basic necessities of life. It is directly linked to survival, and since we derive joy from the taste of food rather than simply eating to survive, the choice of what to eat and how to eat it has become a significant issue for daily meals. However, if visual impairment occurs, one experiences difficulty seeing, which causes inconvenience in accurately recognizing the type or condition of food during meals; for example, it is very difficult to identify specific foods when a large number of side dishes are served or when various foods are on a single plate. These problems cause anxiety and discomfort during meals, such as being unable to eat the food the user wants or having to eat food they dislike or have an allergic reaction to. There are limitations to asking others, and existing visual aids are focused on text reading or simple object recognition, which limits their ability to specifically distinguish types of food or deliver information to the user in real time. Therefore, since the ingredients differ for each dish even when served on a single plate, voice guidance that specifically identifies a single ingredient is much more useful than visual aids for the overall types of food, and can alleviate anxiety during mealtimes and provide convenience. Therefore, the present invention proposes a method to provide an independent and safe dining experience for a user by combining image recognition, artificial intelligence (AI), and speech synthesis technologies in smart glasses to identify food (cooked ingredients) brought close by a visually impaired person, and based on that, to recognize what kind of food it is and provide visual information audibly through a small speaker included in the smart glasses. FIG. 1 is a perspective view showing food recognition voice guidance smart glasses for visually impaired people according to the use of the present invention. FIG. 2 is a front perspective view showing food recognition voice guidance smart glasses for the visually impaired according to the present invention. The present invention will be described in detail below with reference to the attached drawings. First, it should be noted that in assigning reference numerals to the components of each drawing, the same components are given the same reference numeral even if they are shown in different drawings. Furthermore, in describing the present invention, if it is determined that a detailed description of related known configurations or functions could obscure the essence of the invention, such detailed description will be omitted. FIG. 1 is a perspective view showing food recognition voice guidance smart glasses when a user of the present invention takes food, and FIG. 2 is a front view showing the wearing of smart glasses for the visually impaired according to the present invention. As illustrated in FIG. 1, the present invention comprises a smart glasses (100) for food recognition voice guidance for the visually impaired and various components constituting the same. The device includes a lens (110) capable of recognizing food, an image receiving unit (120) for receiving food recognized through the lens, and a control unit (130) that analyzes the received image to determine the type of food and converts it into voice output to transmit. The control unit (130) transmits voice through a voice output unit (140) to provide voice guidance to the visually impaired regarding information corresponding to the determined type of food. Additionally, the voice output unit (140) includes a volume button (141) for adjusting the voice volume and a repeat button (142) for repeatedly listening to the guidance voice. The power supply unit (150) for operating the device includes a power button (151) and a charging terminal (152) and is configured to stably supply power to the device. The smart glasses of the present invention are a visual information providing device that receives and analyzes the type of food in real time and informs the visually impaired of the type of food by voice, and the purpose is to support the visually impaired in easily recognizing the type or condition of the food. The image receiver (120) is responsible for recognizing food and receiving images when a visually impaired person brings food close to the smart glasses for a meal. The image receiver of the present invention can be installed on the side of the smart glasses and is designed to receive
