A putter head comprising a plate is disclosed herein. According to the art disclosed herein, the putter head may comprise a first body member positioned at the front of the putter head, a sole plate covering a sole recess within the first body member to form a first portion of the sole of the putter head, one or more arms extending rearward from the first body member, one or more cover plates fitted to the top of each of the one or more arms, and a second body member extending rearward from the one or more arms.

Claims (8)

  1. As a putter head, A first body member located at the front portion of the putter head, wherein the first body member includes a sole portion, and the sole portion includes a sole recess; A sole plate that covers the sole recess to form a first portion of the sole of the putter head; One or more arms extending rearward from the first body member; One or more cover plates fitted to the top of each of the above one or more arms; and A putter head comprising a second body member extending rearward from one or more of the above arms.
  2. A putter head according to claim 1, wherein one or more cover plates form a second portion of the sole of the putter head.
  3. A putter head according to claim 1, further comprising one or more apertures between one or more cover plates.
  4. In paragraph 1, the sole plate is, Multiple posts extending upward; and A putter head comprising a plurality of post spacers, each fitted between the upper portion of each of the plurality of posts and the lower surface of the first body member corresponding to the sole recess.
  5. A putter head according to claim 1, wherein a first set of one or more arms forms an angle at a first arm angle, and a second set of one or more arms forms an angle at a second arm angle.
  6. A putter head according to claim 5, wherein the first arm angle is greater than about 45 degrees and the second arm angle is greater than about 90 degrees.
  7. A putter head according to claim 1, wherein the outer plate among the one or more cover plates extends to the heel end and toe end of the first body member and the second body member.
  8. A putter head according to claim 1, wherein the first body member comprises an insert forming a part of the collision surface of the first body member.

Description

PUTTER HEAD INCLUDING SOLE AND COVER PLATES The present disclosure generally relates to a golf club head, and more specifically to a putter comprising a sole and a cover plate. Embodiments of the present disclosure may include a putter head. According to some aspects of the present disclosure, the putter head may include a first body member located at the front of the putter head, a sole plate covering a sole recess to form a first portion of the sole of the putter head, one or more arms extending rearward from the first body member, one or more cover plates fitted to the top of each of the one or more arms, and a second body member extending rearward from the one or more arms. The first body member may include a sole portion. The sole portion may include a sole recess. In an embodiment, one or more cover plates may form a second part of the sole of the putter head. In an embodiment, the putter head may include one or more apertures between one or more cover plates. In an embodiment, the sole plate may include a plurality of posts extending upward, and a plurality of post spacers each fitted between the upper end of each of the plurality of posts and the lower surface of the first body member corresponding to the sole recess. In an embodiment, a first set of one or more arms can be angled at a first arm angle, and a second set of one or more arms can be angled at a second arm angle. In an embodiment, the first arm angle may be greater than about 45 degrees, and the second arm angle may be greater than about 90 degrees. In an embodiment, the outer plate among one or more cover plates may extend to the heel end and toe end of the first body member and the second body member. In an embodiment, the first body member may include an insert that forms a part of the collision surface of the first body member.
