KR-20260064904-A - NON-SOLVENT TYPE ADHESIVE COMPOSITION AND PROTECTIVE FILM USING THE SAME
Abstract
The present invention relates to a solvent-free adhesive composition comprising (a) one or more acrylic monomers selected from the group consisting of chemical formulas 1 to 11 and (b) an initiator, and a protective film using the same. According to the present invention, it is possible to manufacture an environmentally friendly solvent-free adhesive composition, and the protective film using the same does not exhibit a smog phenomenon in which a difference in glossiness occurs due to tunneling, a phenomenon in which the film lifts after a certain period of time, and when applied to a target, it is possible to attach and detach smoothly without leaving bubbles, and maintain physical properties of low peel strength and high retention strength.

Description
Non-solvent type adhesive composition and protective film using the same The present invention relates to a solvent-free adhesive composition and a protective film using the same. Generally, adhesive protective films are attached to the surfaces of electronic components to protect them. The use of such adhesive protective films is rapidly increasing, particularly in display panels such as LCDs (Liquid Crystal Display Panels) and PDPs (Plasma Display Panels) that constitute display devices for mobile phones, computer monitors, TVs, and various advertising boards. In this regard, polyethylene (PE) protective films are used to protect high-gloss coated steel plates and are utilized in a wide range of fields, from mobile devices and home appliances to architectural exterior materials and ship exterior materials. However, after a certain period of time has elapsed following the attachment of the PE protective film, a tunneling phenomenon occurs where the film lifts up. This tunneling causes a difference in gloss, which is referred to as smog formation. In home appliances, this smog phenomenon causes a sharp increase in defect rates, making it impossible to use high-gloss painted steel sheets. As a substitute, laminate or deco films are being applied, but this leads to problems such as increased processes and costs. High-brightness surface protection PE film for PCM coated steel sheets is mainly used from Nitto, Japan, and since this is also an imported product, there is a burden on costs. In addition, conventional solvent-free adhesives have the disadvantage that, unlike solvent-based types, their viscosity increases, making coating impossible under lab standards. Korean Patent Publication No. 10-2023-0121338 (hereinafter referred to as Patent Document 1) discloses an adhesive composition comprising an acrylic monomer having an alkyl group having 18 or fewer carbon atoms and a maleimide monomer, and an adhesive sheet using the same. However, Patent Document 1 does not disclose a technology for manufacturing a protective film without smog phenomena by controlling molecular weight and additives using a low-viscosity solvent-free acrylic syrup. The present invention will be described below. However, it is not limited to the following description, and each component may be modified in various ways or selectively combined as needed. Accordingly, it should be understood that the invention includes all modifications, equivalents, and substitutions that fall within the spirit and scope of the invention. <Solvent-free adhesive composition> The solvent-free adhesive composition according to the present invention may include (a) an acrylic monomer selected from the group consisting of one or more of the following chemical formulas 1 to 11 and (b) an initiator. [Chemical Formula 1] [Chemical Formula 2] [Chemical Formula 3] [Chemical Formula 4] [Chemical Formula 5] [Chemical Formula 6] [Chemical Formula 7] [Chemical Formula 8] [Chemical Formula 9] In the above chemical formula 9, n is an integer from 5 to 12. [Chemical Formula 10] In the above chemical formula 10, n is an integer from 1 to 3, and m is an integer from 4 to 9. [Chemical Formula 11] Preferably, in the present invention, when the above component (a) comprises 2-4% by weight of a compound of Formula 2, 1-3% by weight of a compound of Formula 3, 1-3% by weight of a compound of Formula 4, 20-30% by weight of a compound of Formula 7, 10-30% by weight of a compound of Formula 8, 10-30% by weight of a compound of Formula 9, 20-30% by weight of a compound of Formula 10, and 1-4% by weight of a compound of Formula 11, it is more advantageous in that the coating properties are excellent and no smog occurs. In the present invention, the (b) initiator may be one or more types of azo-based initiators or peroxide initiators. Specifically, the azo-based initiator may be an example of azobis-isobutyronitrile or azobis-cyclohexane carbonitrile, but is not limited thereto. In addition, the peroxide initiator may be an example of benzoyl peroxide or acetyl peroxide, but is not limited thereto. In the present invention, the content of the initiator may be 2 to 8 weight percent, more specifically 3 to 7 weight percent, relative to the solid of component (a). If the content falls outside this range, adhesive durability may be reduced or it may be difficult to relieve residual stress. In a preferred embodiment, the adhesive composition of the present invention may further include a crosslinking agent. The crosslinking agent can control the adhesive properties of the adhesive composition depending on the amount used and acts to improve the cohesive strength of the adhesive composition. In the present invention, the crosslinking agent may be an aziridine-based compound or a metal chelate-based compound, etc. Specifically, the aziridine compound may be N,N'-toluene-2,4-bis(1-aziridine carboxylate), N,N'-diphenylmethane-4,4’bis(1-aziridine carboxylate), triethylenemelamine, bis-isopropal
