Description
File up-ending and lifting tool, assembly of file up-ending tool and support carriage, and assembly of file up-ending tool and cradle The present invention relates to a pile upending tool. A pile up-ending tool is known in the prior art. Under operating conditions, the known pile up-ending tool is driven into a monopile stored horizontally on the deck of a vessel. After driving the pile up-ending tool into the monopile, the pile up-ending tool is secured to the end of the monopile. Subsequently, the pile up-ending tool is raised until the monopile achieves a vertical orientation. Afterward, the monopile can be driven toward the seabed by a pile driver. The present invention will be described in detail below with reference to very schematic drawings illustrating embodiments of the present invention in an exemplary manner. FIG. 1 is a perspective view of an embodiment of a file upending tool according to the present invention. FIG. 2 is a cross-sectional view of a file upending tool according to FIG. 1, illustrating a first state. FIG. 3 is a side view of a file upending tool according to FIG. 1, illustrating a second state. FIG. 4 is a drawing similar to FIG. 3, illustrating an intermediate state between a first state and a second state. FIG. 5 is a perspective view of an embodiment as shown in FIG. 1, supported by a support carriage. FIG. 6 is a side view of an embodiment as illustrated in FIG. 5. Figures 7 and 8 are drawings similar to Figure 7, illustrating the accommodation of a file upending tool by a cradle. FIG. 9 is an enlarged perspective view of a cross-section of an embodiment as illustrated in FIG. 1. FIG. 10 is an enlarged view of a part of an embodiment as shown in FIG. 1, illustrating a sorting system of a file upending tool. FIG. 11 is a drawing similar to FIG. 10 and illustrates an alignment system in a different state. FIG. 1 illustrates an embodiment of a pile up-ending tool (1) according to the present invention. The pile up-ending tool (1) can be used on a ship and serves to lift the end portion of a monopile (2) placed on a support member, the opposite end portion of which is pivotally mounted on the ship (not shown). In an operating state, the pile up-ending tool (1) lifts the monopile (2) so that the monopile (2) rotates in a vertical orientation, and then the monopile (2) is positioned on the seabed and can be driven to the seabed by a pile driver (not shown). The pile up-ending tool (1) includes a hoisting element (3) that can be mounted on the hoisting cable of a crane (not shown). The hoisting element (3) is provided with a central opening (4) to accommodate a coupling element that is fixed to the hoisting cable. The pile up-ending tool (1) also includes a lifting body (5) in the form of a rigid beam on which a first fixing member (6) and a second fixing member (7) are mounted. The first fixing member and the second fixing member (6, 7) are positioned apart from each other so that they can be temporarily fixed to the monopile (2) on opposite sides of the monopile (2) in their radial direction. The file upending tool (1) has a first link (8) of rigidity pivotably coupled to the hoisting element (3) via the first hoisting element pivot (9) and to the lifting body (5) via the first lifting body pivot (10). The first link (8) includes two parallel rods (11) fixed to each other via parallel plates (12), but alternative configurations are also possible. The file upending tool (1) has a second link (13) pivotally coupled to the hoisting element (3) via the second hoisting element pivot (14) and to the lifting body (5) via the second lifting body pivot (15). The second lifting body pivot (15) is positioned at a distance from the first lifting body pivot (10). In an embodiment as illustrated in FIG. 1, the pivot axes of the first hoisting element pivot and the second hoisting element pivot (9, 14) coincide. The second link (13) is articulated. It has a first part (16) and a second part (17) of rigidity coupled to each other pivotably via a second link pivot (18). The first part (16) has parallel rods connected to opposite sides of the hoisting element (3). The second part (17) has parallel rods connected to opposite sides of the lifting body (5). Because the first part (16) and the second part (17) are rotatable relative to each other, the articulated second link (13) can be configured such that the pivot axes of the second hoisting element pivot (14) and the second lifting body pivot (15) are mutually displaceable between a first relative position in the first state of the pile upending tool (1) and a second relative position in the second state of the pile upending tool (1). FIGS. 2 and FIGS. 3 illustrate the first and second states, respectively, while FIGS. 4 illustrates an intermediate state between the first and second states. Note that for the sake of clarity, the hoisting element (3) is not illustrated in FIGS. 2. In the first state as illustrated in FIG. 2, when the monopile (2) i
