Description

Tool for Developing Emotional Intelligence of Infants The present invention relates to a tool for developing emotional intelligence in young children, and more specifically, to a tool for developing emotional intelligence in young children that helps develop emotional intelligence in young children and enables educational activities for young children through emotion cards produced using a mood meter expressed in 60 emotions and an auxiliary teaching aid linked thereto. With the advent of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, young children in the growth stage are becoming increasingly immersed in the digital environment, and this is becoming a hindering factor in emotional development essential for humans to form social relationships, such as self-awareness, empathy, and relationship management. Based on survey results showing that approximately 38% of infants and adolescents in South Korea experience depression, it is evident that education regarding emotional development, which begins to form in early childhood, is urgently needed. The ability to understand, express, and regulate emotions forms the basis of overall human happiness and success in life, and this emotional intelligence is highly correlated with academic achievement, mental health, and the formation of interpersonal relationships. Therefore, by developing the emotional intelligence of young children, it is possible to foster empathetic and socially responsible individuals. Meanwhile, although there are many survey results indicating that education on emotion recognition and expression skills needs to be increased, social-emotional research is primarily conducted overseas and much of it is imported through translation; therefore, there is a need for Korean-style emotional education materials tailored to Korean culture. However, most parents have difficulty accessing effective educational programs, and as a result, there is a high demand among parents for educational activity materials necessary for their children starting from early childhood.
