Description

Roll crown control apparatus The present invention relates to a roll crown adjustment device. It should be noted that the content described in this section merely provides background information regarding the present invention and does not constitute prior art. To prevent the strip from meandering inside the annealing furnace, a hearth roll with a certain level of roll crown is installed to pass the strip through. A Roll Crown refers to the difference between the diameter of the center portion of a hearth roll and the diameter of the edge portion of the hearth roll. When the diameter of the center portion is larger, it is called a Regular Crown, and when the diameter of the edge portion is larger, it is called a Reverse Crown. As shown in the upper drawing of FIG. 1, if the hearth roll (R) has a regular crown (C1), a centering force is applied to move the strip (S) to the center portion of the hearth roll during passage, thereby preventing the strip from going astray. As shown in the middle drawing of Fig. 1, when a reverse crown (C2) occurs on the hearth roll (R), the centering force disappears and the force may be applied towards the edge portion of the hearth roll (R). As shown in the lower drawing of Fig. 1, in this state, if a disturbance such as a strip edge wave occurs, meandering occurs in the strip (S). As such, if meandering occurs in the strip (S), the risk of the strip rolling out increases, and as the amount of rollout increases, there is a problem that production failure may occur as the strip and the annealing furnace wall interfere with each other, causing the strip to tear and break. Referring to FIG. 2, conventionally, a steering device (T), such as a CPC (Center Position Controller), was used to send the strip to the center portion when a skew occurred. That is, the amount of skew of the strip was detected, and a steering cylinder (not shown) of the steering device (T) was operated, and the skew of the strip was controlled when the heart roll (R) moved by the steering cylinder and the skewed strip was moved to the center portion. The upper drawing of FIG. 1 illustrates a state in which a centering force acts on the center portion of the hearth roll when a normal crown is formed on the hearth roll, the middle drawing of FIG. 2 illustrates a state in which the centering force disappears as a reverse crown occurs on the hearth roll, and the lower drawing of FIG. 2 illustrates a state in which meandering occurs in the strip as the centering force disappears. Figure 2 is a diagram illustrating a method in which a conventional roll crown adjustment device controls the meandering of a strip. FIG. 3a is a cross-sectional view of an actual hearth roll in which the roll crown adjustment device of the present invention is installed. FIG. 3b is a conceptual diagram of a hearth roll in which the difference in diameter between the center and edge portions of the hearth roll is exaggerated to clearly distinguish between the center and edge portions of the hearth roll. FIG. 4 is a front view of a roll crown adjustment device according to one embodiment of the present invention. Fig. 5 is a side view of the roll crown adjuster of Fig. 4. Figure 6 is a drawing illustrating the components of a heating unit included in the roll crown control device of Figure 4. Figure 7 is a drawing illustrating the components of a section heating unit included in the roll crown control device of Figure 4. FIG. 8 is a perspective view illustrating a cooling unit included in the roll crown adjustment device of FIG. 4. FIG. 9 is a cross-sectional view illustrating the details of the cooling unit of FIG. 8.
