KR-20260066486-A - A Safety Ladder Having Fall Prevention Support
Abstract
The present invention relates to a safety ladder equipped with a fall prevention support that is installed to be extendable vertically, thereby enabling a user to safely climb the ladder by holding the support and then safely lean their lower body against the support to perform work, thereby preventing falls and safety accidents. According to the safety ladder equipped with a fall prevention support according to the present invention, falls and safety accidents can be prevented in advance, and the horizontal level can be maintained even when the workspace is not flat through a horizontal adjustment means provided at the bottom of the main ladder part.

Description
A Safety Ladder Having Fall Prevention Support The present invention relates to a safety ladder, and more specifically, to a safety ladder equipped with a fall prevention support installed to be extendable vertically, so that a user can safely climb up the ladder by holding the support and then safely lean their lower body against the support to perform work, thereby preventing falls and safety accidents. In general, various types of ladders are used to perform work at high places. Examples of ladder types include A-frame ladders, horizontal ladders, step ladders, and step-type safety ladders. Among these, the step-type safety ladder is characterized by its safety, as it has a stable support structure and a design that allows the user to step onto the steps and stand on a platform to work, thereby reducing the risk of tipping over. However, conventional step-type safety ladders are equipped with steps in front of the platform (or workbench), and since these steps are fixed, the overall volume of the safety ladder increases, making movement and transportation inconvenient and occupying a large amount of space during storage. Additionally, there is the problem that they are not suitable for use in other applications. Meanwhile, A-shaped folding ladders are predominantly of the type that folds the central part, and the ladders on one side and the other are connected through a hinge connecting means, so that the ladders do not spread beyond a certain angle, thereby allowing them to be fixed without being supported on the wall. Conventional folding ladders consist of a pair of ladder bodies with multiple steps fixed horizontally, and the upper parts of the pair of ladder bodies are joined by folding brackets so that they can be spread apart or folded into a small volume. Conventional folding ladders of this type are designed so that the upper parts of the two ladder bodies are spread wide into a triangular shape for the worker to stand on and work. However, with the recent increase in fall accidents during ladder work, follow-up measures are required to prevent the recurrence of accidents, and a safety ladder that allows for safe work is essential.
