Description

Crystal nucleating agent for biodegradable resin and biodegradable resin composition comprising the same The present invention relates to a crystallization nucleating agent for controlling the crystallization rate of a biodegradable resin and a biodegradable resin composition comprising said crystallization nucleating agent. Petroleum-based synthetic plastics are causing problems such as the formation of microplastics, environmental pollution, and the generation of large amounts of waste. In particular, these synthetic plastics are difficult to recycle, increase soil acidity, and pose a significant threat to marine ecosystems. To address these issues, biodegradable plastic products using polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHA), which are plant-derived aliphatic polyesters, are attracting attention. Specifically, since the aforementioned polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHA) are environmentally friendly materials that are naturally biodegradable, they can alleviate the problem of waste plastic disposal. However, biodegradable resins such as polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHA) have a slow crystallization rate, so it takes a long time to solidify after melting. When the solidification time is long and the solidification rate is slow, problems may arise regarding the productivity and mechanical properties of products made using biodegradable resins. For example, if a product made using polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHA) is a film, it is difficult to apply it to a film production line due to the slow solidification rate, and production efficiency decreases because the cooling time is long. In addition, secondary crystallization of the polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHA) occurs after a certain period of time has passed since the film was made, which may reduce the physical properties of the product, such as elongation and breaking strength. Accordingly, techniques for introducing various crystallization nucleating agents have been proposed to control the crystallization rate of biodegradable resins such as polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHA) to ensure product productivity and mechanical properties (see Patent Documents 1 to 3). However, the aforementioned proposed techniques still have limitations in making the crystallization rate (solidification rate) faster or manufacturing products with improved mechanical properties. Therefore, there is a need to develop a crystallization nucleating agent that can more efficiently control the crystallization rate of biodegradable resins, such as polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHA), thereby enabling the production of products with excellent mechanical properties and improved productivity during manufacturing. The present invention will be described in detail below. However, the present invention is not limited to the contents disclosed below and may be modified in various forms as long as the essence of the invention is not altered. In this specification, the use of the word “comprising” is intended to specify certain characteristics, regions, steps, processes, elements, and/or components, and unless specifically stated otherwise, it does not exclude the presence or addition of other characteristics, regions, steps, processes, elements, and/or components. All numbers and expressions indicating the amounts of components, reaction conditions, etc. described in this specification shall be understood to be modified by the term "about" in all cases unless otherwise specified. Nucleating agents for biodegradable resins The crystallization nucleating agent for biodegradable resin according to the present invention has specific functional groups and/or specific structures that affect the crystallization rate of the biodegradable resin, thereby enabling the crystallization rate (solidification rate) of the biodegradable resin to be faster than that of conventional resins. This is explained in detail as follows. Here, the crystallization rate of the biodegradable resin may refer to the time taken for a crystal arrangement to be formed as the molten biodegradable resin forms crystals through cooling. In other words, the crystallization rate of the biodegradable resin may refer to the solidification rate of the biodegradable resin. The crystallization nucleating agent for biodegradable resin according to the present invention is a hydroxyethyl group ( It includes an aliphatic compound having three or more hydroxyethyl groups. The number of hydroxyethyl groups in the aliphatic compound is not particularly limited as long as it is three or more, but considering the crystallization rate of the biodegradable resin and the overall physical properties of the product, it may be 3 to 15, 3 to 13, 3 to 10, 3 to 8, 3 to 6, 3 to 5, or 3 to 4. For example, the aliphatic compound may be an acyclic type aliphatic compound having 3 to 10, 3 to 8, or 3 to 4 hydroxyethyl groups. Specifically, the above-mentioned aliphatic compound may be a compound represented by the following chemical formula 1, or a derivative thereof. [Chemical Formula 1] * In the above chemica
