Description

Liquid cosmetic composition containing a high content of shea butter The present invention relates to a liquid cosmetic composition containing a high amount of shea butter, and specifically, to a liquid cosmetic composition capable of stably containing a high amount of shea butter for a long period of time by preventing the hardening of shea butter over time. Shea butter is widely used as a cosmetic ingredient due to its excellent moisturizing and skin-protective properties. Rich in fatty acids and vitamins E and A, shea butter is highly effective at strengthening the skin barrier and retaining moisture for extended periods. Particularly suitable for dry or sensitive skin, it is recognized for its multifaceted benefits, including contributing to skin regeneration and protection against skin damage. Furthermore, it is known to be effective in preventing skin aging through its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects. However, shea butter has the disadvantage of being difficult to use in liquid cosmetic formulations due to its property of hardening over time at room temperature, which can lead to problems in maintaining product usability and physical stability. In particular, issues with long-term stability may arise when shea butter is included in high concentrations in liquid cosmetics or emulsion formulations. Therefore, in order to apply shea butter, which possesses various excellent benefits, to diverse product lines, it is necessary to formulate it into a time-stable liquid cosmetic formulation. The inventors completed the present invention by conducting repeated research to solve the above problem and deriving an optimal combination capable of preventing the hardening of shea butter. Unless otherwise defined, all technical and scientific terms used herein have the same meaning as commonly understood by a skilled expert in the art to which the present invention pertains. In general, the nomenclature used herein is well known and commonly used in the art. Furthermore, in describing embodiments of the present invention, detailed descriptions of related known components or functions are omitted if it is determined that such detailed descriptions would hinder understanding of the embodiments of the present invention. Additionally, while embodiments of the present invention will be described below, the technical concept of the present invention is not limited or restricted thereto and can be modified and implemented in various ways by those skilled in the art. In this specification, when a part is described as including a certain component, it means that, unless specifically stated otherwise, it does not exclude other components but may include additional components. In this specification, the term "and/or" includes a combination of a plurality of related items or any one of a plurality of related items. According to an embodiment of the present invention, a liquid cosmetic composition is provided comprising shea butter and an emollient, wherein the emollient comprises dibutyl adipate. The inventors have confirmed that when dibutyl adipate is optimally combined as an emollient for shea butter, the tendency of shea butter to harden is significantly reduced, thereby allowing a stable liquid formulation to be maintained for a long period. Accordingly, the liquid cosmetic composition is characterized by being able to stably contain a high content of shea butter within the formulation for a long period. In this specification, the term “liquid” refers to a state having fluidity, ranging from thin formulations with very low viscosity to high-viscosity formulations that are sticky or close to dough. In one embodiment, shea butter and dibutyl adipate may be included in a weight ratio of 7 to 0.7:1, specifically in a weight ratio of 4 to 1:1. If the weight ratio deviates from the above, the hardness of the liquid cosmetic composition over time increases, and a stable liquid formulation may not be maintained. In one embodiment, shea butter may be included in an amount of 3 to 30 weight% based on the total weight of the liquid cosmetic composition, and specifically, in a high amount of 5 to 25 weight%. In conventional formulations containing shea butter, formulations containing a high amount as described above are provided in a semi-solid or solid form due to the hardening of the shea butter and are used by softening them using the user's body temperature or stress. However, the liquid cosmetic composition of the present invention can contain a high amount of shea butter by preventing hardening despite the hardening tendency of shea butter. In one embodiment, dibutyl adipate may be included in an amount of 0.5 to 20 weight% based on the total weight of the liquid cosmetic composition, specifically 1 to 15 weight%, and more specifically 1 to 10 weight%. In one embodiment, the liquid cosmetic composition of the present invention may include a thickening agent. The thickening agent may be any ingredient used as a thickeni
