Description
Cup noodle water level control device for the visually impaired The present invention relates to a cup noodle water level control device for visually impaired people. While cup noodles are a convenient food, the preparation process presents difficulties for the visually impaired. To prepare them, one must open the lid, add the soup base, and pour hot water up to the appropriate level; however, for the visually impaired who cannot rely on visual information, getting the water level right is not easy. To pour the water accurately, they must reach inside the container to check the position of the noodles or hold their hands close to the container to sense the temperature and prevent the water from overflowing; this is very cumbersome and poses a risk of burns due to the hot water. If too little water is poured, the noodles do not cook properly, resulting in a poor texture, whereas if too much is poured, the broth may overflow or the flavor may be diluted. For this reason, the visually impaired often have to prepare a special container or rely on the assistance of others to measure the water, which becomes a factor that hinders their attempts to eat independently. Designed to solve this problem is a cup noodle water level control device for the visually impaired. This device operates by attaching to the edge of the cup noodle container; it first measures the height of the noodles inside and recognizes the size of the container. Subsequently, as the user pours hot water, it detects the water level in real time and provides a function that notifies the user with sound or vibration when the water reaches the appropriate level. Thanks to these sensory notifications, the visually impaired can accurately adjust the water level without needing to check visually. With the use of this device, visually impaired individuals can prevent burns by avoiding putting their hands in hot water or using dangerous methods, while also maintaining the taste and quality of instant noodles. Above all, it enables them to cook food safely and hygienically on their own, thereby aiding in independent living. Although it appears to be a simple tool, it offers great convenience in daily life, allowing the visually impaired to prepare meals freely without hassle. This plays a crucial role in enabling the visually impaired to enjoy daily life on equal footing with non-disabled individuals and further suggests the need for the development of assistive devices applicable to various cooking situations. This device goes beyond mere convenience for the visually impaired, ensuring independence and safety during the cooking process. It reduces the burden of adjusting water levels and improves the quality of life by enabling individuals to handle even small aspects of daily life on their own. This invention will serve as an important tool to help people with disabilities lead more independent and free lives. FIG. 1 is a perspective view showing a cup noodle water level control device for visually impaired people according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention, shown from the top left. FIG. 2 is a perspective view showing a cup noodle water level control device for visually impaired people according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention, shown from the upper right. FIG. 3 is a perspective view from above of a cup noodle water level control device for visually impaired people according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention. The advantages and features of the present invention and the methods for achieving them will become clear by referring to the embodiments described below in detail together with the accompanying drawings. However, the present invention is not limited to the embodiments disclosed below but may be implemented in various different forms. These embodiments are provided merely to ensure that the disclosure of the present invention is complete and to fully inform those skilled in the art of the scope of the invention, and the present invention is defined only by the scope of the claims. Throughout the specification, the same reference numerals refer to the same components. Hereinafter, the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings for explaining a cup noodle water level control device for visually impaired people according to embodiments of the present invention. The main body is designed to be easily mounted on the top of a cup noodle container used by a visually impaired person. The main body may include a groove (2) that is cut so that it can be securely fixed to the edge of the cup noodle container. This design helps prevent the device from shaking or falling off during use and is necessary to maintain a position where the ultrasonic sensor (3) can accurately measure the distance to the water surface. The ultrasonic sensor (3) measures the internal depth of the cup noodles and the size of the container in a non-contact manner, and accurately provides the user with the size
