Description
Safety Assistance Device for Large Dogs An embodiment of the present invention relates to a safety assist device for large dogs, and more specifically, to a safety assist device for ensuring the safety of a large dog when it is placed in a vehicle. Generally, safety assist systems for large dogs have been developed to support their safe riding in the rear seats of vehicles. However, as current vehicle safety systems are typically designed with a focus on the safety of humans or small animals, there is a lack of safety features specifically tailored for large dogs. Due to their size and weight, large dogs are exposed to greater risks in the event of an accident, and accordingly, there is a growing need to install specialized safety assist devices in vehicles to ensure the safety of large dogs. Existing safety devices have limitations in restricting the movement or protecting large dogs. For example, standard seat belts used when large dogs ride in the back seat of a vehicle are not optimized for their body shape and behavior. As a result, if a large dog moves freely inside the vehicle, there is a higher risk of it slipping off the seat or sustaining serious injuries in the event of a collision. Furthermore, harness systems worn by large dogs often failed to ensure safety because they could not effectively support the dog's weight or did not fit well with the vehicle's structure. Furthermore, there is also the issue that the mobility and stability of the vehicle may be compromised while a large dog is on board. In a standard vehicle structure, the use of rear seat space becomes inefficient when a large dog is present, which can increase the risk of collision with other passengers or cargo. This can act as a factor that undermines not only the safety of the large dog but also the safety and comfort of the passengers inside the vehicle. Furthermore, there is a lack of systems capable of effectively mitigating vibrations or shocks generated when the vehicle is in motion. When large dogs are on board, impacts caused by road conditions or sudden braking can result in serious injuries, and technical solutions are urgently needed to address these issues. FIG. 1 is a front view exemplarily showing the configuration of a safety aid including a mat portion spread on a seat according to one embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 2 is a front view exemplarily showing the configuration of a safety aid including a mat portion that is folded or retracted onto a seat. FIG. 3 is a diagram exemplarily showing the fastening state of a first fixing part added to fix a mat part to an intermediate sheet according to one embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 4 is a diagram exemplarily showing the fastening state of a second fixing part added to fix a mat part to a seat seat according to one embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 5 is a schematic diagram showing an additional configuration of a mat part for detecting an impact occurring on the side of a vehicle according to one embodiment of the present invention and its side structure. FIG. 6 is a seat side view illustrating an exemplary additional configuration of a mat section for limiting the range of movement of a large dog seated on a plurality of mat modules according to one embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 7 is a front view exemplarily showing a cushioning structure for mitigating vehicle vibrations provided inside a mat portion according to one embodiment of the present invention.
