Abstract

A microwave oven is a device that cooks food using frictional heat generated by disrupting the arrangement of water molecules within the food through electromagnetic waves, whereas an oven is a device that cooks food by directly transferring heat to the food or heating the interior of the cooking chamber through a heat source such as a heater. The cooking chamber of the cooking appliance may be opened or closed by a door. The cooking appliance may include a door locking device configured to selectively lock the door so that the door maintains the cooking chamber in a closed state. The cooking appliance may include a door opening device configured to automatically open the door.
