KR-20260067597-A - SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ELDERLY CARE
Abstract
The elderly care system according to the present invention comprises: a terminal for a person under protection; a terminal for a guardian; and a terminal stand for verification. When an input notification time is reached, a notification signal is output from the terminal for protection. Within a certain time after the output of the notification signal, while the terminal for protection is mounted on the terminal stand for verification, if a signal confirming preparation for shooting is input to the terminal for protection, the terminal for protection transmits a video captured by the camera of the terminal for protection for a predetermined period of time to the terminal for verification.

Description
System and Method for Elderly Care The present invention relates to an elderly care system and method, and more specifically, to an elderly care system and method for caring for an elderly person using a terminal capable of communication. With the recent increase in the number of elderly people living alone, various systems for caring for the elderly are being proposed. Patent Document 1 is also such an example. However, conventional elderly care systems often required expensive sensors and devices. Therefore, there is a need for a system and method that can take care of the daily lives of the elderly, such as taking medication and meals, at a low cost. FIG. 1 is a configuration diagram of an elderly care system according to the present invention. FIG. 2 is a flowchart of a first embodiment of an elderly care method according to the present invention. FIG. 3 is a flowchart of a second embodiment of the elderly care method according to the present invention. The embodiments of the present disclosure are illustrative for the purpose of explaining the technical concept of the present disclosure. The scope of rights according to the present disclosure is not limited to the embodiments presented below or the specific description thereof. All technical and scientific terms used in this disclosure, unless otherwise defined, have the meaning generally understood by those skilled in the art to which this disclosure pertains. All terms used in this disclosure are selected for the purpose of further clarifying this disclosure and are not selected to limit the scope of the rights under this disclosure. Expressions such as “comprising,” “comprising,” “having,” etc. used in this disclosure should be understood as open-ended terms implying the possibility of including other embodiments, unless otherwise stated in the phrase or sentence containing such expressions. Unless otherwise stated, singular expressions described in this disclosure may include a plural meaning, and this applies likewise to singular expressions described in the claims. Hereinafter, preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described in more detail with reference to the attached drawings. Duplicate descriptions of identical components will be omitted. Furthermore, the present invention may be implemented in a number of different forms and is not limited to the described embodiments. Figure 1 is a configuration diagram of an elderly care system according to the present invention. The elderly care system of FIG. 1 includes a guardian terminal (10), a protected person terminal (20), and a verification stand terminal (30). The guardian terminal (10) is a terminal used by the guardian and can be implemented as a smartphone, tablet PC, PC, etc. The guardian can be a family member or an employee of an elderly welfare center (e.g., a caregiver). The protected person terminal (20) is a terminal used by the protected person and can be implemented as a smartphone, etc. Examples of the protected person may include the elderly, and among them, may be the elderly with mild dementia. The guardian terminal (10) and the protected terminal (20) can exchange data through communication. The protected person terminal (20) outputs a notification signal to the protected person when a predetermined time has come, notifying them that the time has come. For example, when it is time for a meal or time to take medicine, a notification signal is output. Since most smartphones currently have the function of outputting an alarm signal when a preset time is reached, the above function (outputting a notification signal when a preset time is reached) can be easily implemented by a person with ordinary knowledge. When sending a notification signal, an alarm sound (e.g., a bell sound, ringtone, etc.) may be output through a speaker, and a phrase such as "It is time for a meal" or "It is time to take medicine" may be displayed on the display of the protected person's terminal (20). Alternatively, a voice such as "It is time for a meal" or "It is time to take medicine" may be output through a speaker. The time at which the notification signal is output can be entered at the protected terminal (20) or remotely at the guardian terminal (10). However, it is difficult for the guardian to verify whether the ward actually took medicine or ate a meal in response to the alarm sound. If the ward films and sends a video of themselves taking medicine or eating, the guardian can easily verify the fact. However, it is difficult for the protected person to hold their device to film the video while taking medicine or eating. Therefore, it is advisable to place the device on a stand for verification when the protected person is taking medicine or eating. The verification terminal holder of the present invention is a holder capable of holding a protected person terminal (20), and when the protected person terminal (20) is placed on the verification terminal holder, the camera of the protected
