Abstract

The present invention relates to a water-in-oil type cosmetic composition for UV protection that does not contain an emulsifier and a method for manufacturing the same. The water-in-oil type cosmetic composition for UV protection according to the present invention utilizes a thickening agent comprising acrylate/C10-30 alkyl acrylate crosspolymer and sodium polyacryloyl dimethyl taurate to disperse titanium dioxide powder and form emulsion particles, thereby having a formulation that achieves excellent formulation stability and a pleasant feel. It contains a high content of titanium dioxide, resulting in an excellent tone-up effect, and does not contain an emulsifier, providing a water-like feel and a light, non-sticky finish.

Description

Oil-in-water type cosmetic composition for sunscreen with no emulsifiers The present invention relates to an oil-in-water type cosmetic composition for UV protection that does not contain an emulsifier and a method for manufacturing the same. Specifically, it relates to an oil-in-water type cosmetic composition for UV protection that achieves excellent formulation stability and usability by using a thickening agent to disperse titanium dioxide powder and form emulsion particles. Conventional water-in-oil sunscreens necessarily contain emulsifiers to maintain a stable dispersion state between the water and oil phases, but the use of emulsifiers causes problems such as skin irritation, allergy induction, skin dryness, and reduced usability. In order to minimize skin irritation when applied to the skin while maintaining the stability of emulsion particles without containing an emulsifier, a cosmetic composition comprising an organically modified clay mineral and a polar oil containing an ester group has been disclosed in Korean Registered Patent No. 10-2269866 (Title of Invention: Water-in-Oil Cosmetic Composition with Maximized Moisture). In addition, many tone-up sunscreens are being developed that can be used as a substitute for makeup and instantly brighten the skin tone upon application. Generally, tone-up sunscreens are formulated to include titanium dioxide, which provides the tone-up function, and emulsifiers. However, no water-in-oil type cosmetic composition for UV protection has been developed that achieves excellent formulation stability and usability by forming emulsion particles using a thickening agent without containing an emulsifier and dispersing a powder with UV blocking function. FIG. 2 is a figure showing the results of a formulation stability test after storing the cosmetic compositions of Example 1 and Comparative Examples 4 to 6 in a 50°C constant temperature bath for one month according to one embodiment of the present invention. The present invention will be explained in more detail below through the following examples.
