Claims (5)
- A handle with a hollow interior; A support protruding from the surface of the handle to contact the user's face; A mounting unit coupled to the handle corresponding to the upper part of the base and reciprocating in a straight line toward the eyeball, with a contact lens positioned at its end facing the eyeball; and A contact lens replacement device comprising an actuator that moves the above-mentioned mounting bracket in a linear reciprocating motion to mount the contact lens onto the eyeball.
- In paragraph 1, The above-described mounting unit comprises a housing coupled to the handle in a tubular shape, a corrugated tube inserted into the interior of the housing and extending toward the eyeball with one end coupled to the handle, a mounting bracket coupled to the other end of the corrugated tube and on which the contact lens is fixed, a mounting plate coupled to the corrugated tube, and a return spring having one end coupled to the housing and the other end coupled to the mounting plate to return the corrugated tube.
- In paragraph 2, The above actuator is a contact lens replacement device comprising a push button mounted on the handle, an air cylinder having a discharge port that discharges air in conjunction with operation by the push button, and an air tube having one end connected to the discharge port and the other end connected to the corrugated tube.
- In paragraph 2, A contact lens replacement device wherein the surface area of the tip of the mounting bracket that contacts the contact lens is formed to be smaller than the size of the contact lens, and the tip of the mounting bracket is formed in a concave shape that makes surface contact with the contact lens.
- In paragraph 1, A contact lens replacement device having a mirror mounted on the top of the handle for observing the position of the contact lens.
Description
Contact Lens Replacement Device The present invention relates to a contact lens replacement device. Generally, contact lenses are designed to achieve good vision by attaching the lens directly to the front of the eyeball, and various types of contact lenses are being developed alongside advancements in optical technology. In terms of function, contact lenses protect and correct vision and have the advantage of being more portable than glasses, but they have the disadvantage of being difficult to wear and store. For example, contact lenses must be cleaned periodically, which requires removing the lenses from the eye or inserting the cleaned lenses, and there is a possibility of eye damage due to carelessness during this process. Most contact lens users place the lens on a finger of one hand while opening their eyelid with the other to insert the lens; however, it is not easy to open the eyelid, there is a high possibility that the lens placed on the finger will be contaminated by bacteria and foreign substances, and there is a risk of the contact lens being lost during the insertion process. In order to solve these various problems, Utility Model 20-2024-0000162, an eye opening device for wearing and removing contact lenses (published on January 29, 2024) has been disclosed. The above-described eye opening device for wearing and removing contact lenses discloses a technology that allows the lens to be worn on the fingers of the other hand after opening the eyelid by attaching two arms formed in the shape of scissors to the lower and upper parts of the eyelid. However, the aforementioned eye opening device for wearing and removing contact lenses still fails to solve the problem of lens contamination and loss because the lens must be placed on a finger and then mounted onto the eyeball. FIG. 1 is a cross-sectional view of a contact lens replacement device according to an embodiment of the present invention. Figure 2 is an enlarged view of section 'A' of Figure 1. Figure 3 is a cross-sectional view illustrating the operation of the contact lens replacement device of Figure 1. The present invention described below is capable of various modifications and may have various embodiments. Specific embodiments are illustrated in the drawings and described in detail in the detailed description. However, this is not intended to limit the invention to specific embodiments, and it should be understood that it includes all modifications, equivalents, and substitutions that fall within the spirit and scope of the invention. In describing the invention, detailed descriptions of related prior art are omitted if it is determined that such detailed descriptions may obscure the essence of the invention. The terms used in this patent are used merely to describe specific embodiments and are not intended to limit the invention. Singular expressions include plural expressions unless the context clearly indicates otherwise.
