Description

Relief valve popping test apparatus The present invention relates to a relief valve popping test, and more specifically, to a relief valve popping test device capable of automatically checking whether a safety relief valve installed in various factory facilities and field piping lines is operating normally. Generally, high-temperature, high-pressure boilers are used in plants such as thermal power plants, nuclear power plants, petrochemical plants, and oil refineries. Since the boiler's set pressure must be monitored frequently, the boiler piping is equipped with a high-pressure gas safety valve that automatically detects and alarms the set pressure, and a safety relief valve that opens to release fluid and lower the pressure when the fluid pressure exceeds a certain level. Here, the high-pressure gas safety valve functions to ensure the safety of the boiler and related equipment by mechanically detecting the pressure at the valve inlet when it exceeds a certain pressure and releasing the excess pressure to protect the device from explosion, while also allowing the noise generated during the release to be detected by people nearby as a signal. In addition, when the pressure at the valve inlet drops below a certain pressure again, it returns to its original state. A relief valve is a valve that lowers pressure by opening to release fluid when the pressure exceeds a certain level. It is installed in facilities handling fluids, such as boilers, pressure vessels, and piping, and is used to prevent safety accidents caused by excessive pressure. As these relief valves are used for an extended period, the operating pressure involved in opening and closing the valve changes, potentially causing the valve to open at a pressure different from the initially set pressure. For example, a spring-type valve driven by a spring allows the operating pressure for fluid discharge to be set by adjusting the length of the spring; however, as the spring loses its elasticity over time, the valve may open at a pressure lower than the initially set pressure. In addition, relief valves must be checked for defects after on-site removal and overhaul, and only products found to be free of defects should be installed on-site. Therefore, relief valves must be periodically inspected and calibrated to ensure they always open at a constant pressure, and products free of defects must be installed. However, the method used to inspect these relief valves involves an operator visually checking the pressure value of the relief valve under test using an analog gauge. This visual inspection method has the disadvantage that the reliability of the inspection results is low because it is difficult to determine the instantaneous operating pressure value and the verification of minute pressure values is also unclear, making it difficult to accurately determine the operating pressure and closing pressure values. Therefore, a relief valve popping test device is required to automatically and accurately inspect for abnormalities in the relief valve.
