Claims (1)
- 1. An improved candle heater ("heat trap") by Doyle Doss for a long-burning candle (trench candle) made from scrap materials, consisting of four metal tin cans (two large ones of equal size, a medium one and a small one), three of which (one large, a medium one and a small one) are placed one inside the other and fastened together with a metal bolt with a diameter of 8-10 mm, passed through holes in the centers of the bottoms of the cans, metal reinforced washers, nuts and couplings with an internal diameter equal to the diameter of the bolt, have holes: 1) in the center of the bottom of a large can with a diameter equal to the diameter of the bolt and in a circle along the edge of the bottom a row of holes with a diameter of 10-15 mm; 2) in the center of the bottom of a medium can with a diameter equal to the diameter of the bolt and in a circle a row of holes with a diameter of 10-15 mm at such a distance from the center of the bottom of the can so that they are not covered by washers; 3) in the center of the bottom of the small can there is a hole with a diameter equal to the diameter of the bolt, and in its walls along its bottom there is a row of holes with a diameter of 10-15 mm, and the second large can has: 1) 4-6 holes along the bottom at a distance of 10 mm from the bottom, made by three slots in the shape of the letter "U" lying on its side, with the height of the vertical slots of 40 mm and the length of the horizontal slots equal to the difference between the radius of the can body and the radius of the body of the long-burning candle (trench candle), with subsequent bending of the resulting "tongues" inward into the can so that they serve as fasteners for the body of the long-burning candle (trench candle) in the center of the can; 2) a series of slits in the edge of the can with an interval of 10 mm and a depth of 10 mm, the resulting “petals” are alternately “inward - outward” bent at an angle of 45° to the wall of the can, which allows you to install a candle heater (“heat trap”) on this can, fixing the edge of the large can of this heater between these “petals”.
