Claims (5)
- 1. A method for video location of the surrounding environment, which consists of processing a sequence of video frames obtained with the help of a video camera, and consists of recording in the image zones related to the corresponding objects of the surrounding environment, characterized in that the video camera is imparted with movement with the presence of acceleration transverse to the direction of the optical axis of the video camera, and, corresponding to this acceleration, a transverse displacement of the video camera, which performs the function of a stereo base, and the processing of the obtained series of video images consists of detecting and isolating in the image color-brightness zones corresponding to the observed objects, and in determining the dynamics of the movement of these zones in a sequence of video frames with the isolation of the displacement component caused by the above-mentioned transverse displacement of the video camera.

The video location method according to paragraph 1, characterized in that the video camera is given a translational movement in a circle, and the distance to the surrounding object is determined by the diameter of the circle of the observed displacement of the image of the surrounding object in the video sequence, which occurs due to parallax caused by the said transverse displacement of the video camera to the optical axis.
- 3. The video location method according to paragraph 1, characterized in that the video camera is given an oscillatory movement transverse to the direction of the optical axis.
- 4. The video location method according to paragraph 1, characterized in that the video camera is given movement along a helical trajectory.
- 5. The video location method according to paragraph 1, characterized in that the selection of image zones corresponding to objects of the surrounding environment is carried out by recording zones of smooth change in the color brightness vector, limited by a contour detected by the intra-line and inter-line jump in the color brightness vector, with subsequent calculation and recording of the trajectory of movement of the center of gravity of the selected zone in the video frame.
