Claims (20)
- 1. A device for collecting uterine cells, comprising:
- a housing portion comprising: a cylindrical receiving portion and a cylindrical passage portion formed on the first side of the receiving portion and having an internal diameter smaller than that of the receiving portion;
- a guide portion comprising: a cylindrical rod element having an outer diameter less than or equal to the inner diameter of the passage portion and configured to slide within the passage portion; and
- a brush portion comprising: a first brush comprising one or more axial projections formed at the end of a second side opposite the first side of the receiving portion, one or more wings extending from the first brush in at least one radial direction, and one or more second brushes, each of which comprises one or more projections protruding from the surface of each wing,
- wherein the brush part is connected to the guide part and moves in accordance with the movement of the guide part.
- 2. A device for collecting uterine cells according to claim 1, wherein the first brush and each of the wings are connected by a hinged structure.
- 3. The device for collecting uterine cells according to claim 2, wherein in the collection position in which the brush portion is extended outward from the end of the second side of the receiving portion, the hinge opens so that each wing forms an angle of from 45° to 90° with respect to the axial direction, and
- in which, when the guide portion is displaced by sliding in the direction of the first side from the collection position to the receiving position, in which the brush portion is located inside the receiving portion, the hinge is folded so that each wing forms an angle from 0° to 45° with respect to the axial direction.
- 4. A device for collecting uterine cells according to paragraph 3, further comprising: a first receiving position limiter formed on the guide portion and
- having a projection or recess; and
- a second receiving position limiter formed on the inner surface of the receiving portion or the inner surface of the passage portion in an axial position corresponding to the first receiving position limiter in the receiving position, wherein the second receiving position limiter has a recess or projection complementary in shape to the projection or recess of the first receiving position limiter.
- 5. A device for collecting uterine cells according to paragraph 3,
- in which at the end of the second side of the receiving part there is an output part having a cavity, the diameter of which is smaller than the internal diameter of the receiving part and larger than the maximum diameter of the brush part in the receiving position, and
- in which the rod element further comprises, in an axial position inside the outlet portion in the collection position, at least one limiting projection extending in at least one radial direction and having a width greater than the diameter of the cavity.
- 6. The device for collecting uterine cells according to claim 3, in which the brush portion is connected to the end of the second side of the guide portion by means of an interference fit.
- 7. The device for collecting uterine cells according to claim 6, in which the body portion further includes a separation limiter projecting inward from the inner surface of the receiving portion so that it interacts with the brush portion, without interacting with the sliding movement of the rod element, in the separation position, in which the guide portion is displaced by sliding in the direction of the first side beyond the receiving position.
- 8. The device for collecting uterine cells according to claim 1, wherein the guide portion further includes a working portion formed on the first side of the rod element, located outside the end of the first side of the passage portion and having a width greater than the inner diameter of the passage portion in at least one radial direction.
- 9. A device for collecting uterine cells according to claim 8, wherein the working part has different widths in at least two radial directions.
- 10. The device for collecting uterine cells according to claim 1, wherein the body portion further comprises a limiter for preventing excessive insertion, projecting outward in a radial direction in an axial position from the end of the first side of the receiving portion at a distance of from one tenth to one half the length of the receiving portion.
- 11. A device for collecting uterine cells according to claim 1, wherein the housing portion further includes a hand rest projecting outward in a radial direction from the passage portion.
