Claims (20)

  1. 1. A thread-cutting tool (10) configured to rotate in the direction (Rd) of rotation around an axis (S) of rotation defining opposite internal and external radial directions (Ri, Ro) and opposite directions (Fw, Rw) forward and backward, wherein the thread-cutting tool (10) comprises:
  2. tail section (24); and
  3. a cutting part (34) located in front of the tail part (24), wherein the cutting part (34) comprises:
  4. a cutting peripheral surface (38) of cylindrical shape; and
  5. a plurality of nests (42) for plates recessed into the cutting peripheral surface (38), wherein
  6. the plurality of slots (42) for plates is at least five slots (42) for plates;
  7. the thread-cutting tool (10) is a solid tool; and
  8. at least one plate socket (42), which is not the front plate socket (43), is free from the support projection (46) associated with it.
  9. 2. A thread-cutting tool (10) according to claim 1, in which all the seats (42) for the plates are spaced apart from each other in the axial direction along the axis (S) of rotation.
  10. 3. A thread-cutting tool (10) according to any of the preceding claims, wherein the diameter Dm of the cutting part (34) meets the following condition: Dm ≤ 50 mm.
  11. 4. A thread-cutting tool (10) according to any one of the preceding claims, in which a plurality of slots (42) for inserts are uniformly distributed and form an imaginary spiral (H) centered around the axis (S) of rotation.
  12. 5. A thread-cutting tool (10) according to claim 4, in which the axially adjacent seats (42) for the plates are not adjacent to each other in the direction of rotation, and the imaginary spiral (H) goes around the axis (S) of rotation at least twice.
  13. 6. The thread-cutting tool (10) according to claim 5, in which the sum SL of the circles, defined as the number of times the imaginary spiral (H) is wrapped around the axis (S) of rotation, and the sum SP of the nests, defined as the number of nests (42) for the plates of the thread-cutting tool (10), satisfy the following condition: SP/SL is not an integer.
  14. 7. A thread-cutting tool (10) according to any one of the preceding claims, in which a majority of the insert seats (42) are free from an associated support projection (46).
  15. 8. A thread-cutting tool (10) according to claim 7, in which only the front seat (42) for the plate has a support projection (46) associated with it.
  16. 9. A thread-cutting tool (10) according to any of the preceding claims, in which there are only twelve insert pockets (42).
  17. 10. A thread-cutting tool (10) according to any one of the preceding claims, in which each pair of adjacent during rotation seats (42) for inserts is at least partially spaced apart during rotation from each other in the direction (Rd) of rotation.
  18. 11. A thread-cutting tool (10) according to any one of the preceding claims, in which at least one seat (42) for the insert is surrounded by a cutting peripheral surface (38).
  19. 12. A thread-cutting tool (10) according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein each of the plurality of insert seats (42) comprises:
  20. opposite rear and front surfaces (48, 52) of the socket, between which the rear surface (56) of the socket passes, wherein the rear and front surfaces (48, 52) of the socket are located transversely to the axis (S) of rotation;
