Claims (20)
- 1. A turbomachine rotor comprising at least one annular set of bandaged blades around the rotor axis, each blade comprising:
- a feather having a leading edge, a trailing edge, a root, a tip, a concave high-pressure side, and an opposite convex low-pressure side, the high-pressure side and the low-pressure side extending between the leading edge and the trailing edge;
- internal shelf at the root of the feather;
- an outer shelf at the tip of the feather, wherein the outer shelf has a leading edge, a trailing edge and two side edges extending between the leading edge and the trailing edge of the outer shelf;
- wherein each side edge of the outer shelf of each blade is spaced at some distance from the opposite side edge of the adjacent blade such that, in use, a gap separates the opposite side edges of the adjacent blades, and the opposite side edges face each other, but do not have contact with each other in any mode of operation of the turbomachine.
- 2. A turbomachine rotor according to claim 1, wherein the outer shelves of the blades are free-standing and independent of each other.
- 3. A turbomachine rotor according to claim 1 or 2, in which the outer shelves of the blades are made without a damping element or an intermediate element between them.
- 4. A turbomachine rotor according to any of the preceding claims, comprising at least one rotor disk, along the periphery of which bandaged blades of the said annular set are mounted.
- 5. A turbomachine rotor according to any of the preceding claims, wherein each internal shelf has a mechanical connecting element configured to mechanically couple a blade to the rotor.
- 6. A turbomachine rotor according to claim 5, wherein the inner shelf of each blade is provided with a corresponding mechanical connecting element, separate from the mechanical connecting element of adjacent blades.
- 7. A turbomachine rotor according to claim 6, wherein a plurality of slots for mounting blades are formed on the periphery of the rotor; wherein each blade has an internal shelf fixed in a corresponding one of said plurality of slots for mounting blades.
- 8. A turbomachine rotor according to claim 7, wherein the mechanical connecting element is a dovetail extending radially inward from the inner shelf to the axis of rotation of the rotor and engaging with a complementary groove formed in the rotor.
- 9. A turbomachine rotor according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the blades have an aspect ratio of 3.5 or less, preferably 3 or less, even more preferably 2 or less or 1.5 or less.
- 10. A turbomachine rotor according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the blades have a stiffness of 90 N m/deg or more, preferably 100 N m/deg or more, more preferably 110 N m/deg or more.
- 11. A turbomachine rotor according to any one of the preceding claims, comprising a plurality of annular sets of blades arranged in a direction from the front to the rear along the rotor axis, and wherein at least one said annular set of bandaged blades is the upstreammost of said plurality of annular sets of blades.
- 12. A turbomachine rotor according to any of the preceding claims, wherein each gap has a constant width from the leading edge to the trailing edge of the outer shelves.
- 13. A turbomachine rotor according to any of the preceding claims, wherein the leading edges and trailing edges of the outer shelves are located on corresponding planes perpendicular to the rotor axis, and wherein each lateral edge of the outer shelves is inclined at an angle of from 0 to 75° relative to a radial plane containing the rotor axis.
- 14. A turbomachine rotor according to any of the preceding claims, wherein mutually opposite side edges of adjacent outer shelves form a gap which, in use, is greater than 0 mm and equal to or less than 10 mm.
- 15. A turbomachine rotor according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein mutually opposite side edges of adjacent outer shelves define a gap which, in use, has an area that is greater than zero and equal to or less than 0.2 x A x P, where A is the distance between the trailing edge and the leading edge of the shelf and P is the pitch of the blades.
- 16. An energy turbomachine comprising:
