Claims (1)

  1. A method for preventing streptococcal pneumonia in piglets involves administering streptomycin and chloramphenicol with feed at a dose of 2.5 mg/kg of live body weight each for 7 days.

Description

The proposed invention relates to veterinary medicine and can be used for the prevention of streptococcal pneumonia in piglets. Pneumonia in piglets is caused by various microorganisms: pasteurella, salmonella, escherichia, staphylococci, etc. (Skvortsov V.N. Frequency of isolation of various microorganisms in pneumonia in pigs / V.N. Skvortsov, Yu.A. Klyuchnikov // Proceedings of the conference “Problems of agricultural production at the present stage and ways to solve them” Belgorod, 2006, p. 54). There are various methods used for the prevention and treatment of pneumonia in piglets: using tetracycline, oxamycin, macrolides and fluoroquinolones, as well as lincomycin and kitasamycin (Skvortsov V.N. Prevention of pneumonia in pigs with lincomycin / V.N. Skvortsov, A.V. Voitenko // Proceedings of the conference "Problems of agricultural production at the present stage and ways of their solution" Belgorod, 2005, p. 87), (Skvortsov V.N. Economic efficiency of kitasamycin in the treatment and prevention of pneumonia in pigs / V.N. Skvortsov // Proceedings of the conference "Problems of agricultural production at the present stage and ways of their solution" Belgorod, 2005, p. 87). At the same time, pathogens causing pneumonia in pigs often develop resistance to chemotherapeutic drugs (A.A. Titov. Development of resistance to chemotherapeutic drugs in microorganisms isolated from pigs / A.A. Titov // Proceedings of the conference “Problems of agricultural production at the present stage and ways to solve them” Belgorod, 2005, p. 83). A method of treatment and prevention using fradisin and tylosin tartrate has a certain effectiveness in the treatment of pneumonia in piglets (Antipov V.A. Drug for the treatment and prevention of gastroenteritis and bronchopneumonia in pigs / V.A. Antipov, A.G. Shakhov // Certificate for a rational proposal of the State Administration of Veterinary Medicine of the USSR dated 10.06.1986. - No. 439-11/2015). A “Method for the prevention and treatment of infectious diseases of pigs and poultry” is known using fradisin, a macrolide antibiotic (SU 681598 A1, A61K 31/00, A61P 31/00, 23.03.1981. / O.A. Gavrilova, A.M. Makukhina, A.G. Rezvykh et al., 1981), which is the closest analogue of the claimed invention. The method for the prevention and treatment of pneumonia in piglets using tylosin tartrate compared to fradisin is characterized by a higher efficiency of its use in diseases caused by gram-positive and gram-negative microflora (Bukhanov V.D. Therapy and prevention of swine dysentery / V.D. Bukhanov // Abstract of a Cand. Sci. (Veterinary Sciences) Dissertation, Moscow, 1986. - 24 p.; Zuev N.P. Production and development of antimicrobial compositions based on tylosin-containing drugs / N.P. Zuev, V.D. Bukhanov // Proceedings of the First Congress of Veterinary Pharmacologists of Russia, 21-23.06.2007. - RAAS VNIIVIPFIT, Voronezh, 2007. Pp. 311-316). There is a method for preventing pneumonia in piglets using tylosin tartrate and neomycin RU 2560838 C2, publication date: 10.09.2013. The disadvantages of the above methods for preventing pneumonia in piglets using tylosin-containing drugs are: a narrow spectrum of activity against microorganisms that cause pneumonia in piglets, rapid, especially when used for more than 7 years, development of resistance to them in pathogens, as well as the existing regulations for the timing of use of antimicrobial drugs and the need for their rotation as a preventive measure to prevent the development of resistance in pathogenic microbes to the drugs used. At the same time, the need for rotation of drugs and preventive measures and various types of pneumonia with different pathogens, as well as, guided by the Order of the Government of the Russian Federation of September 25, 2017 No. 2045-r On the Strategy for the Prevention of the Spread of Antimicrobial Resistance in the Russian Federation for the Period up to 2030, the following task was set. The objective of the invention is to improve the effectiveness of preventing streptococcal pneumonia in piglets. This objective allows for the following: 1. Expansion of the spectrum of antimicrobial action of drugs used to prevent severe forms of streptococcal pneumonia in piglets. 2. Blocking the toxic effects of streptococcal pneumonia during prophylaxis by achieving a rapid and more complete effect with the simultaneous administration of two or more drugs in lower than usual course doses. This is also of significant importance when using antibiotics that cause nephrotoxicity (aminoglycosides, polymyxin, griseofulvin) and hepatotoxicity (tetracycline, erythromycin, novobiocin) effects, adverse effects on the gastrointestinal tract (tetracyclines, erythromycin, griseofulvin) and the hematopoietic system (chloramphenicol). 3. Potentiation of the antibacterial effect in the prevention of streptococcal pneumonia in piglets. 4. Prevention or reduction of the possibility of the emergence of acquired drug resis
