RU-2861426-C1 - FASTENING ASSEMBLY FOR HARPOON OF SUSPENDED CEILING
Abstract
FIELD: construction. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of suspended ceilings, in particular to fastening assemblies for suspended ceilings for a harpoon system. The technical result is achieved by the fact that the fastening assembly for a harpoon of a suspended ceiling includes at least two interconnected ribs of a guide profile, forming between their inner surfaces a cavity for accommodating the harpoon. The first of the ribs provides, with its surface, compression of the wall of the harpoon and, with its edge, tension of the canvas. The second rib is equipped with a stop protrusion for the head of the harpoon. The assembly contains an insert made in the form of a profiled product of rigid plastic, configured to be installed in a spacer. The assembly is equipped with a mechanism for latching the insert, which includes a supporting and a covering part. The assembly contains a third rib, opposite the second rib, forming between them a second small cavity for accommodating the supporting part of the insert and ensuring its installation in a spacer. The covering part of the insert is made in the form of a tongue the width of the cavity for accommodating the harpoon. The insert of the harpoon fastening assembly of a suspended ceiling is made in the form of a profiled product of rigid plastic, includes a supporting part configured to be installed in a spacer, and a covering part made in the form of a tongue the width of the cavity for accommodating the harpoon. EFFECT: simplification of the installation process while increasing the reliability of the harpoon fastening assembly, including in terms of handling the 'lens' defect. 14 cl

Description
AREA OF TECHNOLOGY The claimed invention relates to construction, namely the field of suspended ceilings, in particular to suspended ceiling fastening units for a harpoon system. LEVEL OF TECHNOLOGY Stretch ceilings, as such, are well known and widely used in a wide variety of spaces. GOST R 59690-2021 "Materials and Components for Stretch Ceilings. General Specifications" is used to clarify the subject matter of the invention. Two main types of fastening systems are known in the stretch ceiling market: the harpoon fastening system and the glazing bead (wedge) system. The subject matter of this application pertains to the former. A harpoon fastening system is a set of fastening components comprising a primary fastening element—a plastic or aluminum baguette—or, in the context of this invention, a guide profile, a web, a fixing fastening element (harpoon) (semi-rigid PVC), and a flexible insert (decorative wall molding). The harpoon system is one of the most common on the market. In this system, the stretch ceiling fabric requires pre-fabrication (before on-site installation). Specifically, a harpoon is welded around the perimeter of the fabric, cut to the room's dimensions. Next, at the ceiling installation site, the harpoon is inserted into the cavity of the guide profile, formed by its ribs. This creates a gap around the perimeter of the stretch ceiling. If the room has an external corner, the interior of the profile becomes visible, including the harpoon, which is made of elastic material and often lies unevenly within the profile. The welded joint between the fabric and the harpoon also appears unsightly and uneven, significantly reducing the performance of the system. This gap is concealed with a flexible insert that connects the edge of the fabric to the wall in a single plane. Recently, aluminum guide profiles have become widespread, including those of complex designs that solve the problem of the visibility of the abutment due to the structural displacement of their harpoon cavity towards the wall, for example, from patent RU 2832165 C1 (published on 20.12.2024 in Bulletin No. 35) or from patent RU 2844097 C1 (published: 28.07.2025 in Bulletin No. 22), the present invention in its essence is a development of the specified level of technology. The closest technical solution to the claimed solution, according to the author, is a device for securing the webbing in a harpoon-mounted profile for a suspended ceiling, offset from the wall (patent RU 207757 U1, published November 15, 2021, in Bulletin No. 32). This known device is essentially an insert in a guide profile that includes at least two connected ribs (for example, a profile shelf, but not limited to), the first of which (usually the outer one) serves to secure the harpoon in the cavity of the said assembly by pressing the surface of this rib against the harpoon wall, forming the perimeter of the suspended ceiling webbing, while the second serves as a stop for the harpoon head against a protrusion on its surface. The insert itself, functionally analogous to a flexible insert (decorative wall molding) according to the aforementioned GOST, is made as a profiled piece of rigid plastic with the ability to be installed in the harpoon cavity via two thrust points, positioned between the edge of the web's border (one rib), which provides compression of the harpoon wall, and the projection of the harpoon stop (the second rib). This known device solves the problem of concealing the harpoon cavity from view and improves the reliability of the web's retention by securing the harpoon edge (the bonding point with the web) with the thrust point against the rib, which serves to compress the harpoon wall and is located on the side where the harpoon and web are inserted. The prototype's shortcomings include the impact of the insert's thrust attachment on the harpoon's position within its installation location. The insert's design doesn't take into account the ergonomic properties of the insert due to the specific nature of the shadow guide profiles, which directly impacts its installation. In addition to the above, prior art solutions do not protect the appearance of the finished ceiling and the interior as a whole from adhesive leaks in the outer corners when gluing the harpoon and the ceiling, which is a drawback. When installing a stretch ceiling with a harpoon fastening system, a so-called "lens" occurs, where the ceiling folds like an accordion or bubble. In most cases, this "lens" occurs in the outer corners of the stretch ceiling perimeter. One solution to this problem is trimming and gluing the harpoon and ceiling in this area at the installation site. Sometimes, it is also necessary to glue the ceiling and harpoon along the perimeter profile. When gluing, the adhesive spreads across the ceiling, including in its visible part, requiring special care and attention from the installer. In case of incorrect installation, the ceiling and harpoon must be comple
