Description

The invention relates to feed production technology, in particular to methods for producing feed for breeding insects. A method is known for producing a nutrient medium for growing the coccinellid Harmonia axyridis Hall, which involves dosing and mixing in a given sequence soy flour, sucrose, dry milk, palm kernel oil, dry cereal aphid, Wesson's salt, dry brewer's yeast, tocopherol, ascorbic acid, agar-agar, vitamins B1, B6, B12, metaben, inositol and distilled water in the following ratio of components, wt. %: Soy flour10Sucrose10Dry milk2Palm kernel oil2.5Dry cereal aphid5.0Wesson's Salt1.5Dry brewer's yeast2.0Tocopherol0.04Ascorbic acid0.15Agar-agar2.0Vitamin B10.006B60.006B120.0002Metaben0.2Inositol0.002Distilled waterrest (RU patent No. 2515688, A23K 1/18, A01K 67/033, published 05/20/2014). The disadvantage of this method is the high consumption of expensive, labor-intensive and energy-consuming components to manufacture. The technical result of the invention is the reduction of expensive, labor-intensive and energy-consuming components to manufacture. This result is achieved by the fact that in the proposed method for producing a nutrient medium for growing the coccinellid Leis dimidiata Fabr., which provides for dosing and mixing soy flour, dry brewer's yeast, metaben, agar-agar and distilled water according to the invention, fresh cereal aphids and Nutrilon milk mixture are additionally introduced into the mixture in the following ratio of components, wt. % Soy flour10Fresh cereal aphids10Dry brewer's yeast2Nutrilon milk formula14.5Metaben0.12Agar-agar2Distilled waterrest The method is implemented as follows. Soy flour is hydrolyzed for one hour in a water bath. Then, Nutrilon milk mixture and melted agar-agar are gradually added. After cooling slightly, dry brewer's yeast, fresh cereal aphids, and metaben are added. These components are measured and mixed in the specified ratio. The medium is poured into Petri dishes and stored in the refrigerator at 4-6°C. The medium has a gelatinous consistency and is easy to use. Preparation time for the nutrient medium is two hours. A comparative analysis of the composition of nutrient media for culturing the coccinellid Leis dimidiata Fabr., based on component content, for the proposed method and its closest analogue, revealed a significant reduction in the number of components. Components such as sucrose, palm kernel oil, Wesson's salt, tocopherol, ascorbic acid, vitamins B1, B6, B12, inositol, and milk powder were excluded. These components were replaced with Nutrilon milk formula, which did not affect the quality of the medium, as it contains a balanced supply of all the elements necessary for insect life. Fresh cereal aphids were used instead of the labor-intensive and energy-intensive component of dried cereal aphids. Experiments have shown that changing the nutrient medium composition according to the invention does not degrade the conditions or results of culturing the coccinellid Leis dimidiata Fabr. The beetles actively fed for 60 days. When transferred to natural food, adults mated and laid eggs on days 4-5. Average daily fecundity was 21.7%. Viable larvae emerged from the resulting eggs within 5-6 days. Preimaginal stage survival was 85.3%, which is consistent with the closest analogue (RU 2515688 - 85% survival, egg laying within 8-10 days, average daily fecundity of 19.1%). With subsequent maintenance of emerged beetles on the proposed nutrient medium, the lifespan of adults is over three months. Thus, the proposed method for producing a nutrient medium for the cultivation of the coccinellid Leis dimidiata Fabr. allows for a reduction in the consumption of expensive, labor-intensive, and energy-intensive components.
