RU-2861546-C2 - DISPENSING GUN, SYSTEM (DEVICE), METHOD FOR DISPENSING MATERIAL
Abstract
FIELD: technology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a dispensing gun (or dispenser) for a cartridge. In particular, the dispensing gun of the present invention is particularly suitable for dispensing a paste-like material contained in a cartridge. The present invention also relates to the use of the dispensing gun in medicine, particularly in dentistry or orthopaedics. A dispensing gun for dispensing a paste-like material, comprising a frame with a handle, an injection breech for attaching a cartridge, wherein the injection breech is located in the distal part of the frame, a lever with at least two teeth and a plunger with at least two recesses, comprises means for directly fixing the cartridge on the injection breech and means for moving the plunger inside the cartridge such that the material contained in the cartridge is extruded in a single stroke of the plunger. The dispensing gun is configured such that the lever has an actuated state in which the first recess of the plunger and the first tooth of the lever engage before the cartridge is attached, so that the lever and the handle form an angle in the range of from 80° to 120°. The injection breech comprises a distal plate with an opening, the shape of which corresponds to the shape of the base portion of a cartridge having two opposite locking wings, so as to allow the cartridge to be inserted into the injection breech of the dispensing gun, wherein the injection breech also comprises means for locking the cartridge after it is received inside the injection breech. A system for dispensing a paste-like material comprises the above-described dispensing gun for dispensing said paste-like material and a cartridge for storing said paste-like material, having a base portion with two opposite locking wings. A method for dispensing material with the above-described system comprising a cartridge having a base portion with at least two opposite locking wings, and the above-described dispensing gun, wherein the injection breech includes a distal plate with an opening, the shape of which corresponds to the shape of the base portion of the cartridge. In a first step of the method, the dispensing gun is actuated by a pulling force applied to the lever, the lever is set to an actuated state in which the first recess of the plunger and the first tooth of the lever engage before the cartridge is attached, so that the lever and the handle form an angle from 80° to 120°, and so that the plunger inside the frame is at a non-zero distance ex from the distal end of the injection breech. In a second step of the method, the base portion of the cartridge containing the material to be dispensed is fixed to the distal part of the injection breech. In a third step of the method, the plunger of the dispensing gun is moved to a position ready for use for extruding the material contained in the cartridge. In a fourth step of the method, the material contained in the cartridge is dispensed by a pulling force applied to the lever until the lever is depressed, the plunger is moved inside the cartridge so that all of the material is completely extruded. EFFECT: ensuring correct positioning of the cartridge on the dispensing gun and a reliable connection between the cartridge and the dispensing gun, ensuring safe handling when the specialist works with the dispensing gun. 15 cl, 9 dwg

Description
FIELD OF TECHNOLOGY TO WHICH THE INVENTION RELATES The present invention relates to a dispensing gun (or dispenser) for a cartridge. In particular, the dispensing gun of the present invention is advantageously suitable for dispensing a paste-like material contained in a cartridge. The present invention also relates to the use of the dispensing gun in medicine, particularly in dentistry or orthopedics. PRIOR ART Cartridges designed for mixing and dispensing materials are particularly useful for dental filling applications, allowing for the mixing of multi-component dental filling materials and their application to the patient's teeth. Typically, dental filling materials consist of powder and liquid components, which are mixed to form dental cement. Specifically, cartridges have been developed for dental filling applications in which a predetermined amount of the powder and liquid components is pre-weighed and placed in isolated chambers to prevent accidental mixing of the two components. In such cartridges, the components are released from the isolated chambers at the required time and mechanically mixed together to form dental cement, which is then dispensed from the cartridge. Dispensing the material contained in a cartridge typically requires a dispensing device. Specifically, several dispensing guns have been developed in the dental field for dispensing dental material contained in a cartridge. For example, WO 95/00078 discloses a dispensing gun with a cartridge holder that accommodates the cartridge. WO 95/00078 lacks means for securing the cartridge to the dispensing gun, so the dispensing gun described in WO 95/00078 cannot guarantee safe handling by a practitioner. Other dispensing devices, such as those disclosed in US 2018/0185117, require the physician to repeatedly press the device's lever to dispense the material contained in the cartridge. Such dispensing devices are not ergonomic and often fail to dispense the entire volume of material. The present invention aims to address these shortcomings by offering a dispensing gun for dispensing material from a cartridge. It is easy to use and simultaneously improves material dispensing reliability, specifically by reducing the risk of material loss. Furthermore, the dispensing gun allows the entire cartridge to be dispensed in a single stroke of the dispensing gun's piston. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION For this purpose, the subject of the invention is a cartridge dispenser gun comprising a frame with a handle, a shutter for attaching a cartridge, preferably a cartridge having a base portion with at least two opposing locking wings, wherein the shutter is located in the distal portion of the frame, a lever consisting of at least two teeth, and a piston (also called a pistol piston) consisting of at least two cutouts, wherein: - the dispensing gun contains means for directly fixing the cartridge to the injection valve; and - the dispensing gun comprises means for moving the piston of the gun into the cartridge in such a way that the material contained in the cartridge is extruded in one stroke of the piston; and - the dispensing gun is configured in such a way that the lever is in a state in which the first recess of the pistol piston and the first tooth of the lever are engaged before the cartridge is attached, so that the lever and the handle form an angle in the range from 80° to 120°, preferably 90°. As used herein, the terms "proximal" and "distal" refer to the position of the parts of the dispensing gun relative to the operator (e.g., the dentist), i.e., the term "proximal" refers to the position closer to the operator of the cartridge, and the term "distal" refers to the position further from the operator. According to one embodiment of the invention, the dispensing gun is configured such that the lever further includes a final position in which the lever is depressed and the piston of the dispensing gun engages the cartridge, so that the material originally contained in the cartridge is completely extruded. Thus, the material is dispensed while limiting material loss. According to one embodiment of the invention, the dispensing gun is configured such that the lever further includes an intermediate state, in which the lever is in a position between the actuation state and the final state, so that the dispensing gun is ready for use to extrude the material contained in the cartridge connected to the gun. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, in the intermediate state, when the cartridge connected to the gun contains a piston, the piston of the gun should be located near the piston of the cartridge. In the present invention, the term "close to" refers to the relative position of two elements (for example, the relative position of the piston of the gun to the piston of the cartridge), separated from each other by a distance of less than 10 mm, preferably less than 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, or 1 mm.
