Abstract

The pliers (1) have two pliers levers (3, 4) crossing at a pivot pin (2) having a pivot pin axis (x), one of which (4) is considered movable and the other (3) fixed, wherein on one side of the pivot pin (2) handle portions (8, 9) are formed, and on the other side of the pivot pin (2) jaw portions (5, 6) interacting in the form of a pliers mouth (7), the movable pliers lever (4) having a longitudinal slot (13) provided with a tooth system (16), and a pivot pin (2) located in a seat (12), capable of disengaging from toothed contact with said tooth system (16) by pressing the pivot pin (2) to adjust the mouth opening width (w), and the movable pliers lever (4) penetrates the fixed pliers lever (3), wherein the longitudinal slot (13) has an extension (S) which, when the pliers (1) are closed, extends transversely to the orientation of the pliers levers (3 and 4) on the handle side. The movable pliers lever (4) has an overlap region (U) in which the movable pliers lever (4) is overlapped on both sides by the fixed pliers lever (3), the overlap region (U) extending at right angles to the direction (r) of adjustment of the pivot pin (2) in the longitudinal slot (13), having a width (g) which corresponds to 0.5 times or more the maximum adjustment dimension (f), and having a length (d) which corresponds to 2 times or more the maximum adjustment dimension (f). Claims (7)
- 1. Pliers (1) having two levers (3, 4) of the pliers intersecting in a hinge pin (2) having an axis (x) of the hinge pin, one of which (4) should be considered movable and the other (3) fixed, wherein on one side of the hinge pin (2) there are sections (8, 9) of the handles, and on the other side of the hinge pin (2) there are jaws (5, 6) of the jaws interacting in the form of a mouth (7) of the pliers, wherein the movable lever (4) of the pliers has a longitudinal slot (13) provided with a system (16) of teeth, and a hinge pin (2) located in a socket (12), having the ability to come out of toothed contact with the said system (16) of teeth by pressing on the hinge pin (2) to rearrange the width (w) of the opening of the mouth, and the movable lever (4) of the pliers pierces the fixed lever (3) of the pliers, wherein the longitudinal slot (13) has length (S), which, for closed pliers (1), extends in the transverse direction to the orientation of the levers (3 and 4) of the pliers on the side of the handles, characterized in that the movable lever (4) of the pliers has an overlapping region (U), in which the movable lever (4) of the pliers is overlapped on both sides by the fixed lever (3) of the pliers, wherein the overlapping region (U) extends at a right angle to the direction (r) of rearrangement of the hinge pin (2) in the longitudinal slot (13), having a width (g), which corresponds to 0.5 times or more of the maximum dimension (f) of rearrangement, and having a length (d), which corresponds to 2 times or more of the maximum dimension (f) of rearrangement.
- 2. Pliers according to paragraph 1, characterized in that when shifting from a smaller to a larger width (w) of the opening of the jaws in relation to the sections (21, 22) of the levers of the pliers on the side of the handles, in each case a larger overlapping area is initially obtained.
- 3. Pliers according to paragraph 1 or 2, characterized in that the width (h) of the pliers in the area of overlapping, starting from the closed pliers (1), when moving to a larger width (w) of opening of the mouth, is initially reduced.
- 4. Pliers according to any one of paragraphs 1-3, characterized in that the fixed lever (3) of the pliers has a pit (39) designed for action by pressing on the hinge pin (2), wherein the axis (x) of the hinge pin is located eccentrically to the geometric mean axis (y) of the pit.
- 5. Pliers according to item 4, characterized in that the axis (x) of the hinge pin is shifted in the direction (r) of the rearrangement of the jaws (7) of the pliers relative to the middle axis (y) of the hole.
- 6. Pliers according to any of paragraphs 1-5, characterized in that the jaws (5, 6) of the mouth have working surfaces (23, 24) that are equipped with a system (25, 26) of teeth.
- 7. Pliers according to item 6, characterized in that the working surfaces (23, 24), in relation to the longitudinal length (L) of the mouth (7) of the pliers, deepen towards the top (34) of the pliers, so that when the pliers (1) are closed, an opening (37) remains in front of the mouth (7) of the pliers.

The invention concerns pliers having two pliers levers intersecting in a hinge pin having an axis of the hinge pin, one of which should be considered movable and the other fixed, wherein on one side of the hinge pin there are handle sections, and on the other side of the hinge pin there are jaws of the jaw interacting in the form of a jaw of the pliers, wherein the movable lever of the pliers also has a longitudinal slot provided with a system of teeth, and the hinge pin located in the socket can move from the toothed contact, and the movable lever of the pliers pierces the fixed lever of the pliers, wherein the longitudinal slot also has an extension which, in closed pliers, extends in the transverse direction to the orientation of the levers of the pliers from the side of the handles. The invention also concerns pliers having two pliers levers rotating around the axis of rotation and a pliers jaw formed from two jaws of the jaws, wherein this pliers jaw has opposing working surfaces, a first working surface and a second working surface, which over a substantial part of their length, when viewed from the free end of the jaws of the jaws to the axis of rotation, are provided with a system of teeth, wherein the sharply ending teeth have the tops of the teeth oriented in the direction of the axis of rotation, and the other sharply ending teeth have the tops of the teeth oriented toward the free end of the jaws of the jaws.
