Abstract

Various implementations described herein may refer to a system and method for trading emissions units. In one implementation, a method may include receiving emissions attribute data from users for emissions objects, where a respective emissions object is associated with a respective emissions output. The method may also include receiving evidence data from the users for the emissions objects, where the respective device is configured to transmit the evidence data to a distributed ledger. The method may further include determining emissions output data for the emissions objects. The method may additionally include transmitting the emissions output data to the distributed ledger. The method may also include generating emissions units for the users based on the emissions output data. The method may further include providing an emissions market platform to the users for trading the emissions units.

Claims (20)

  1. 1 . A method, comprising: receiving emissions attribute data from a plurality of users for a plurality of emissions objects, wherein a respective emissions object is associated with a respective emissions output, wherein the respective emissions object is associated with a respective user, and wherein the emissions attribute data for the respective emissions object comprises data corresponding to an object type for the respective emissions object; receiving evidence data from the plurality of users for the plurality of emissions objects, wherein the evidence data from the respective user for the respective emissions object comprises: location data determined using a respective device of the respective user, wherein the location data correspond to a plurality of locations of the respective device determined using a satellite navigation system during a transportation associated with the respective emissions object, and wherein the respective device is configured to transmit the evidence data to one or more distributed ledgers; determining emissions output data for the plurality of emissions objects based on the emissions attribute data and the evidence data, wherein the emissions output data for the respective emissions object comprises data corresponding to the respective emissions output; transmitting the emissions output data to the one or more distributed ledgers; generating a plurality of emissions units for the plurality of users based on the emissions output data, wherein a respective emissions unit for the respective user corresponds to the respective emissions output; and providing an emissions market platform to the plurality of users for trading the plurality of emissions units, wherein: the emissions market platform corresponds to market depth data, and the market depth data comprises data indicating at least a bid price or offer price provided by a respective user for a respective emissions unit.
  2. 2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the respective emissions object comprises a good or an activity associated with the respective emissions output.
  3. 3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the emissions attribute data for the respective emissions object further comprises data corresponding to object quantity, object identification, user identification, or combinations thereof.
  4. 4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the evidence data comprises device data corresponding to accelerometer data, satellite navigation data, Internet of Things data, timestamp data, tracking objects data, recorded video data, photographic data, audio data, cellular data, wide area network data, local area network data, financial temperature sensor data, magnetic field sensor data, neural sensor data, proximity sensor data, sound wave data, relative humidity sensor data, optical wave data, breathing pattern data, ultrasound data, pressure sensor data, photograph metadata, video metadata, internet protocol address data, weather device data, traffic device data, map device data, atmosphere device data, advertising data, advertising metadata, map routing data, supervisory control and data acquisition data, customer relationship management data, enterprise resource planning data, social network data, enterprise asset management data, water meter sensor data, eye movement data, biomarker data, chemical drug data, food data, unmanned aircraft sensor data, geographical information system data, wearable device data, biomarker data, applications data, or combinations thereof.
  5. 5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the one or more distributed ledgers comprise one or more blockchains.
  6. 6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of emissions units corresponds to a plurality of emissions credits for the plurality of users.
  7. 7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the respective emissions unit for the respective user corresponds to a permit to produce an output of emissions equal to the respective emissions output.
  8. 8 . The method of claim 1 , wherein providing the emissions market platform to the plurality of users comprises: receiving market depth data from the plurality of users, wherein the market depth data comprises data indicating a plurality of bid prices and a plurality of offer prices for the plurality of emissions units; and transmitting the market depth data to the plurality of users.
  9. 9 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the market depth data further comprises first data from a first user of the plurality of users, and wherein the first data indicates a first bid price or a first offer price for a first emissions unit of the plurality of emissions units, and wherein the first bid price corresponds to an emissions offset.
  10. 10 . The method of claim 9 , further comprising: receiving transaction input data from a second user of the plurality of users, wherein the transaction input data comprises data indicating an acceptance by the second user of the first bid price or the first offer price for the first virtual transportation capacity unit.
  11. 11 . A computing system, comprising: one or more processors; and at least one memory comprising program instructions executable by the one or more processors to: receive emissions attribute data from a plurality of users for a plurality of emissions objects, wherein a respective emissions object is associated with a respective emissions output, wherein the respective emissions object is associated with a respective user, and wherein the emissions attribute data for the respective emissions object comprises data corresponding to an object type for the respective emissions object; receive evidence data from the plurality of users for the plurality of emissions objects, wherein the evidence data from the respective user for the respective emissions object comprises: location data determined using a respective device of the respective user, wherein the location data correspond to a plurality of locations of the respective device determined using a satellite navigation system during a transportation associated with the respective emissions object, and wherein the respective device is configured to transmit the evidence data to one or more distributed ledgers; determine emissions output data for the plurality of emissions objects based on the emissions attribute data and the evidence data, wherein the emissions output data for the respective emissions object comprises data corresponding to the respective emissions output; transmit the emissions output data to the one or more distributed ledgers; generate a plurality of emissions units for the plurality of users based on the emissions output data, wherein a respective emissions unit for the respective user corresponds to the respective emissions output; and provide an emissions market platform to the plurality of users for trading the plurality of emissions units, wherein: the emissions market platform corresponds to market depth data, and the market depth data comprises data indicating at least a bid price or offer price provided by a respective user for a respective emissions unit.
  12. 12 . The computing system of claim 11 , the respective emissions object comprises a good or an activity associated with the respective emissions output.
  13. 13 . The computing system of claim 11 , wherein the emissions attribute data for the respective emissions object further comprises data corresponding to object quantity, object identification, user identification, or combinations thereof.
  14. 14 . The computing system of claim 11 , wherein the evidence data comprises device data corresponding to accelerometer data, satellite navigation data, Internet of Things data, timestamp data, tracking objects data, recorded video data, photographic data, audio data, cellular data, wide area network data, local area network data, financial temperature sensor data, magnetic field sensor data, neural sensor data, proximity sensor data, sound wave data, relative humidity sensor data, optical wave data, breathing pattern data, ultrasound data, pressure sensor data, photograph metadata, video metadata, internet protocol address data, weather device data, traffic device data, map device data, atmosphere device data, advertising data, advertising metadata, map routing data, supervisory control and data acquisition data, customer relationship management data, enterprise resource planning data, social network data, enterprise asset management data, water meter sensor data, eye movement data, biomarker data, chemical drug data, food data, unmanned aircraft sensor data, geographical information system data, wearable device data, biomarker data, applications data, or combinations thereof.
  15. 15 . The computing system of claim 11 , wherein the one or more distributed ledgers comprise one or more blockchains.
  16. 16 . The computing system of claim 11 , wherein the plurality of emissions units corresponds to a plurality of emissions credits for the plurality of users.
  17. 17 . The computing system of claim 11 , wherein a respective emissions unit for the respective user corresponds to a permit to produce an output of emissions equal to the respective emissions output.
  18. 18 . A non-transitory computer-readable medium having stored thereon a plurality of computer-executable instructions which, when executed by a computer, cause the computer to: receive emissions attribute data from a plurality of users for a plurality of emissions objects, wherein a respective emissions object is associated with a respective emissions output, wherein the respective emissions object is associated with a respective user, and wherein the emissions attribute data for the respective emissions object comprises data corresponding to an object type for the respective emissions object; receive evidence data from the plurality of users for the plurality of emissions objects, wherein the evidence data from the respective user for the respective emissions object comprises: location data determined using a respective device of the respective user, wherein the location data correspond to a plurality of locations of the respective device determined using a satellite navigation system during a transportation associated with the respective emissions object, and wherein the respective device is configured to transmit the evidence data to one or more distributed ledgers; determine emissions output data for the plurality of emissions objects based on the emissions attribute data and the evidence data, wherein the emissions output data for the respective emissions object comprises data corresponding to the respective emissions output; transmit the emissions output data to the one or more distributed ledgers; generate a plurality of emissions units for the plurality of users based on the emissions output data, wherein a respective emissions unit for the respective user corresponds to the respective emissions output; and provide an emissions market platform to the plurality of users for trading the plurality of emissions units, wherein: the emissions market platform corresponds to market depth data, and the market depth data comprises data indicating at least a bid price or offer price provided by a respective user for a respective emissions unit.
  19. 19 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 18 , wherein the emissions attribute data for the respective emissions object further comprises data corresponding to object quantity, object identification, user identification, or combinations thereof.

The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 18 , wherein the evidence data comprises device data corresponding to accelerometer data, satellite navigation data, Internet of Things data, timestamp data, tracking objects data, recorded video data, photographic data, audio data, cellular data, wide area network data, local area network data, financial temperature sensor data, magnetic field sensor data, neural sensor data, proximity sensor data, sound wave data, relative humidity sensor data, optical wave data, breathing pattern data, ultrasound data, pressure sensor data, photograph metadata, video metadata, internet protocol address data, weather device data, traffic device data, map device data, atmosphere device data, advertising data, advertising metadata, map routing data, supervisory control and data acquisition data, customer relationship management data, enterprise resource planning data, social network data, enterprise asset management data, water meter sensor data, eye movement data, biomarker data, chemical drug data, food data, unmanned aircraft sensor data, geographical information system data, wearable device data, biomarker data, applications data, or combinations thereof.
