Description

RELATED APPLICATION This application was originally filed as PCT Application No. PCT/EP2022/054781 on Feb. 25, 2022, which claims priority from Finnish Application No. 20215373, filed on Mar. 30, 2021, each of which is incorporated herein by reference in its entirety. FIELD Various example embodiments relate in general to wireless communication networks and more specifically, facilitating and controlling mobility optimization in such networks. BACKGROUND Upcoming mobile communication systems should fulfill a wide range of technical requirements to cope with the explosive growth of mobile data traffic, massive number of connected devices, emergence of new services and need for increased data transmission speed for mobile users. Self-organizing networks (SONs) have been developed for mobile network management to reduce operational expenses, improve network coverage, capacity and service quality, detect and heal network faults. Mobile network self-optimization aims for optimized parameters and coverage usage, increased network quality and performance, and ensuring service quality for all mobile network users. Mobility Robustness Optimization (MRO) is a mobility optimization technique aiming at reducing number of connection failures, comprising of Radio Link Failure (RLF) and handover failures (HOFs), in the network. MRO provides a solution for automatic detection and correction of errors in the mobility configuration. MRO adjusts the mobility parameters based on the statistics that are collected from the network and from UEs.
