Abstract
A vehicle includes a chassis, a cab coupled to the chassis, a cargo body coupled to the chassis and positioned rearward of the cab, a door coupled to the cab and selectively repositionable relative to the chassis between an open position and a closed position, and a door lock assembly configured to selectively prevent movement of the door from the closed position to the open position. The door is positioned on an exterior of the vehicle. The door lock assembly defines a key aperture configured to receive a key. The door lock assembly is coupled to the cab, and wherein the key aperture is positioned forward of the door.

Claims (20)
- 1 . A vehicle comprising: a chassis defining a longitudinal axis; a cab coupled to the chassis; a cargo body coupled to the chassis and positioned rearward of the cab along the longitudinal axis; a door coupled to the cab and selectively repositionable relative to the chassis between an open position and a closed position, wherein the door is configured to selectively permit access to an interior of the cab from outside of the vehicle, the door being positioned on an exterior of the vehicle; and a door lock assembly configured to selectively prevent movement of the door from the closed position to the open position, the door lock assembly defining a key aperture configured to receive a key, wherein the door lock assembly is coupled to the cab, and wherein the key aperture is positioned forward of the door relative to the longitudinal axis toward a front end of the vehicle.
- 2 . The vehicle of claim 1 , wherein the door lock assembly is coupled to a side panel of the cab positioned along a lateral side of the vehicle relative to the longitudinal axis.
- 3 . The vehicle of claim 2 , wherein the lateral side of the vehicle is a first lateral side and the door is a first door, further comprising a second door coupled to the cab and positioned along a second lateral side of the vehicle.
- 4 . The vehicle of claim 2 , wherein the door is a first door, further comprising a second door coupled to the cab, wherein the first door and the second door are positioned along the lateral side of the vehicle.
- 5 . The vehicle of claim 1 , further comprising a latching assembly coupled to the door and configured to selectively couple to the door lock assembly to prevent movement of the door toward the open position.
- 6 . The vehicle of claim 5 , wherein the door lock assembly is configured to prevent the latching assembly from being disengaged when the door lock assembly is in a locked configuration to prevent movement of the door toward the open position.
- 7 . The vehicle of claim 6 , wherein the latching assembly is configured to move away from the door lock assembly when the door moves from the closed position to the open position.
- 8 . The vehicle of claim 1 , wherein the door is slidably coupled to the cab and configured to move longitudinally between the closed position and the open position.
- 9 . The vehicle of claim 8 , wherein the closed position is forward of the open position.
- 10 . The vehicle of claim 1 , wherein the door lock assembly is positioned in a recess formed in the cab.
- 11 . The vehicle of claim 1 , wherein: the door lock assembly further comprises: a lock body coupled to at least one of the door, the cab, or the cargo body, the lock body defining a first retainer aperture; a core cylinder extending within the lock body, the core cylinder defining the key aperture; a cylindrical sleeve received within the lock body, the cylindrical sleeve defining (a) a sleeve aperture that receives the core cylinder and (b) a second retainer aperture; a tumbler coupled to the core cylinder and configured to engage the cylindrical sleeve to limit rotation of the core cylinder when the core cylinder is in a locked configuration; and a plate coupled to the lock body and extending radially through the first retainer aperture into the second retainer aperture to limit rotation of the cylindrical sleeve relative to the lock body, the plate having a uniform thickness, wherein the door lock assembly is configured to prevent movement of the door from the closed position to the open position when the core cylinder is in the locked configuration; and wherein the plate includes a first portion positioned within the first retainer aperture and a second portion positioned within the second retainer aperture, wherein the first portion has a first width, and wherein the second portion has a second width less than the first width.
- 12 . The vehicle of claim 11 , wherein the first portion and the second portion of the plate form a T-shape.
- 13 . The vehicle of claim 11 , wherein the second portion extends beyond the first portion in both a first direction and a second direction opposite the first direction.
- 14 . The vehicle of claim 11 , wherein the lock body defines a third retainer aperture, and wherein the door lock assembly further comprises a second plate that extends through the third retainer aperture and engages the cylindrical sleeve.
- 15 . The vehicle of claim 14 , wherein the second plate includes a third portion and a fourth portion, the third portion being wider than the fourth portion, and wherein the second portion and the fourth portion are positioned between the first portion and the third portion.
- 16 . The vehicle of claim 15 , wherein the third portion and the fourth portion of the second plate have the same thickness.
- 17 . The vehicle of claim 11 , wherein the plate is made from a hardened material.
- 18 . A vehicle comprising: a chassis defining a longitudinal axis; a cab coupled to the chassis; a cargo body coupled to the chassis and positioned rearward of the cab along the longitudinal axis, the cargo body and the cab defining an interior of the vehicle; a door coupled to the cab and selectively repositionable relative to the chassis between an open position and a closed position, wherein the door is configured to selectively permit access to the interior of the cab from outside of the vehicle; and a door lock assembly configured to selectively prevent movement of the door from the closed position to the open position, the door lock assembly defining a key aperture configured to receive a key, wherein the cab defines a recess positioned forward of the door relative to the longitudinal axis toward a front end of the vehicle, wherein the door lock assembly is coupled to the cab, and wherein the door lock assembly extends within the recess such that the key aperture is positioned within the recess.
- 19 . The vehicle of claim 18 , wherein the door lock assembly includes a faceplate extending within the recess, and wherein the faceplate has a domed surface that at least partially surrounds the key aperture.
- 20 . The vehicle of claim 19 , wherein the door lock assembly is coupled to a side panel of the cab that is positioned forward of the door toward a front end of the vehicle, and wherein the side panel is positioned along a lateral side of the vehicle.

BACKGROUND Delivery vehicles may have a number of doors, a cab, and a cargo portion. An operator may operate the vehicle from the cab. The cargo portion may serve as a storage area for parcels. The doors may provide entry and exit points for the operator to and from the cab and/or the cargo portion. SUMMARY One embodiment relates to a vehicle. The vehicle includes a chassis, a cab coupled to the chassis, a cargo body coupled to the chassis and positioned rearward of the cab, a door coupled to the cab and selectively repositionable relative to the chassis between an open position and a closed position, and a door lock assembly configured to selectively prevent movement of the door from the closed position to the open position. The door lock assembly defines a key aperture configured to receive a key. The door lock assembly is coupled to the cab, and wherein the key aperture is positioned forward of the door. Another embodiment relates to a vehicle. The vehicle includes a chassis, a cab coupled to the chassis, a cargo body coupled to the chassis and positioned rearward of the cab, a door coupled to the cab and selectively repositionable relative to the chassis between an open position and a closed position, and a door lock assembly. The door lock assembly includes a lock body coupled to at least one of the door, the cab, or the cargo body, a core cylinder extending within the lock body, a retaining pin coupled to the lock body and positioned to limit rotation of the core cylinder relative to the lock body. The door lock assembly is configured to prevent movement of the door from the closed position to the open position when the core cylinder is in a locked configuration. Still another embodiment relates to a vehicle. The vehicle comprises a chassis, a cab coupled to the chassis, a cargo body coupled to the chassis and positioned rearward of the cab, a door coupled to the cab and selectively repositionable relative to the chassis between an open position and a closed position, and a door lock assembly configured to selectively prevent movement of the door from the closed position to the open position. The door lock assembly defines a key aperture configured to receive a key. At least one of the door or the cab defines a recess. The door lock assembly is coupled to the at least one of the door or the cab. The door lock assembly extends within the recess such that the key aperture is positioned within the recess.
