Abstract

A display terminal comprising circuitry that plays back a moving image on a display, the moving image having been recorded in distribution of the moving image to one or more communication terminals; and displays a display area for a first mode and a display area for a second mode on the display, the first mode being a mode for receiving an instruction to share a moving image segment that is a temporal segment of the recorded moving image during playback of the recorded moving image, and the second mode being a mode for displaying respective moving image segments that are temporal segments of moving images shared by a plurality of display terminals including the display terminal.

Claims (6)

  1. 1 . A display terminal, comprising: circuitry configured to: play back a moving image on a display, the moving image having been recorded in distribution of the moving image to one or more communication terminals; display, on the display at a same time during playback of the moving image, a first display area for a first mode and a second display area for a second mode; operate in the first mode, which includes: receiving an instruction to share a moving image segment that is a temporal segment of the moving image during playback of the moving image; and transmitting, in a case that the moving image is a wide-view moving image, point-of-view information to an information processing system that distributes the moving image, the point-of-view information for identifying a predetermined area of the wide-view moving image; and operate in the second mode, which includes: displaying, on the display, respective moving image segments that are temporal segments of moving images shared by a plurality of display terminals including the display terminal; and displaying, on the display in a case that a shared moving image segment corresponds to the moving image which is the wide-view moving image, a moving image segment corresponding to the predetermined area of the wide-view moving image, wherein the moving image segment is received from the information processing system and is a temporal segment of the wide-view moving image.

The display terminal according to claim 1 , wherein the circuitry is further configured to: during operation in the first mode, receive an instruction to share a still image during the playback of the recorded moving image, the still image being a frame at a predetermined elapsed playback time for the recorded moving image; and during operation in the second mode, display the still image.
  3. 3 . A communication system, comprising: an information processing system configured to distribute a moving image to one or more communication terminals; and a display terminal including first circuitry configured to: play back the moving image on a display; display, on the display at a same time during playback of the moving image, a first display area for a first mode and a second display area for a second mode; operate in the first mode, which includes: receiving an instruction to share a moving image segment that is a temporal segment of the moving image during playback of the moving image; and transmitting, in a case that the moving image is a wide-view moving image, point-of-view information to the information processing system that distributes the moving image, the point-of-view information for identifying a predetermined area of the wide-view moving image; operate in the second mode, which includes: displaying, on the display, respective moving image segments that are temporal segments of moving images shared by a plurality of display terminals including the display terminal; and displaying, on the display in a case that a shared moving image segment corresponds to the moving image which is the wide-view moving image, a moving image segment corresponding to the predetermined area of the wide-view moving image, wherein the moving image segment is received from the information processing system and is a temporal segment of the wide-view moving image, wherein the information processing system includes second circuitry configured to: receive the point-of-view information from the display terminal; and transmit, the respective moving image segments to the display terminal.

A display method executed by a display terminal, the display method comprising: playing back a moving image on a display, the moving image having been recorded in distribution of the moving image to one or more communication terminals; displaying, on the display at a same time during playback of the moving image, a first display area for a first mode and a second display area for a second mode; operating in the first mode by: receiving an instruction to share a moving image segment that is a temporal segment of the moving image during playback of the recorded moving image; and transmitting, in a case that the moving image is a wide-view moving image, point-of-view information to an information processing system that distributes the moving image, the point-of-view information for identifying a predetermined area of the wide-view moving image; and operating in the second mode by: displaying, on the display, respective moving image segments that are temporal segments of moving images shared by a plurality of display terminals including the display terminal; and displaying, on the display in a case that a shared moving image segment corresponds to the moving image which is the wide-view moving image, a moving image segment corresponding to the predetermined area of the wide-view moving image, wherein the moving image segment is received from the information processing system and is a temporal segment of the wide-view moving image.

A communication method executed by a communication system, the communication system including a display terminal and an information processing system, the communication method comprising: playing back, on a display of the display terminal, a moving image having been recorded in distribution of the moving image to one or more communication terminals; displaying, on the display at a same time during playback of the moving image, a first display area for a first mode and a second display area for a second mode; operating in the first mode by: receiving an instruction to share a moving image segment that is a temporal segment of the moving image during playback of the moving image; and transmitting, in a case that the moving image is a wide-view moving image, point-of-view information to the information processing system that distributes the moving image, the point-of-view information for identifying a predetermined area of the wide-view moving image; and operating in the second mode by: displaying, on the display, respective moving image segments that are temporal segments of moving images shared by a plurality of display terminals including the display terminal; and displaying, on the display in a case that a shared moving image segment corresponds to the moving image which is the wide-view moving image, a moving image segment corresponding to the predetermined area of the wide-view moving image, wherein the moving image segment is received from the information processing system and is a temporal segment of the wide-view moving image.

A non-transitory recording medium which stores a plurality of instructions which, when executed by one or more processors on a display terminal, causes the processors to perform a display method, the method comprising: playing back a moving image on a display, the moving image having been recorded in distribution of the moving image to one or more communication terminals; displaying, on the display at a same time during playback of the moving image, a first display area for a first mode and a second display area for a second mode; operating in the first mode by: receiving an instruction to share a moving image segment that is a temporal segment of the moving image during playback of the recorded moving image; and transmitting, in a case that the moving image is a wide-view moving image, point-of-view information to an information processing system that distributes the moving image, the point-of-view information for identifying a predetermined area of the wide-view moving image; and operating in the second mode by: displaying, on the display, respective moving image segments that are temporal segments of moving images shared by a plurality of display terminals including the display terminal; and displaying, on the display in a case that a shared moving image segment corresponds to the moving image which is the wide-view moving image, a moving image segment corresponding to the predetermined area of the wide-view moving image, wherein the moving image segment is received from the information processing system and is a temporal segment of the wide-view moving image.

CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS This patent application is based on and claims priority pursuant to 35 U.S.C. § 119(a) to Japanese Patent Application No. 2022-192284, filed on Nov. 30, 2022, and 2023-161697, filed on Sep. 25, 2023, in the Japan Patent Office, the entire disclosure of which is hereby incorporated by reference herein. BACKGROUND Technical Field The present disclosure relates to a display terminal, a communication system, a display method, a communication method, and a recording medium. Related Art According to the known technique, moving images that have been previously viewed with a great interest by certain users can be viewed by one or more users other than the certain users. However, such a technique does not allow any one of the users who are viewing a recorded moving image at the same time to grasp which temporal segment of the moving image is of interest to another of the plurality of users. SUMMARY According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, a display terminal includes circuitry. The circuitry play back a moving image on a display, the moving image having been recorded in distribution of the moving image to one or more communication terminals, and display a display area for a first mode and a display area for a second mode on the display. The first mode is a mode for receiving an instruction to share a moving image segment that is a temporal segment of the recorded moving image during playback of the recorded moving image. The second mode being a mode for displaying respective moving image segments that are temporal segments of moving images shared by a plurality of display terminals including the display terminal. According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, a communication system includes a display terminal and an information processing system. The display terminal plays back a moving image on a display. The moving image has been recorded in distribution of the moving image to one or more communication terminals. The information processing system distributes the recorded moving image. The display terminal includes first circuitry. The first circuitry receives an instruction to share a moving image segment that is a temporal segment of the recorded moving image, and transmits information on sharing of the moving image segment to the information processing system. The information processing system includes second circuitry. The second circuitry receives the information on sharing of the moving image segment from the display terminal, and transmits, to the display terminal, respective moving image segments that are temporal segments of moving images shared by a plurality of display terminals including the display terminal. The first circuitry of the display terminal causes the display to display the respective moving image segments. According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, a display method is executed by a display terminal. The display method includes playing back a moving image on a display, the moving image having been recorded in distribution of the moving image to one or more communication terminals; and displaying an area for a first mode and an area for a second mode on the display, the first mode being a mode for receiving an instruction to share a moving image segment that is a temporal segment of the recorded moving image during playback of the recorded moving image, the second mode being a mode for displaying respective moving image segments that are temporal segments of moving images shared by a plurality of display terminals including the display terminal. According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, a communication method is executed by a communication system. The communication system includes a display terminal and an information processing system. The communication method includes: playing back, on a display of the display terminal, a moving image having been recorded in distribution of the moving image to one or more communication terminals; in response to reception of an instruction to share a moving image segment that is a temporal segment of the recorded moving image, transmitting information on sharing of the moving image segment from the display terminal to the information processing system; transmitting, from the information processing system to the display terminal, respective moving image segments that are temporal segments of moving images shared by a plurality of display terminals including the display terminal; and displaying, on the display of the display terminal, the respective moving image segments. According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, a non-transitory recording medium stores a plurality of instructions which, when executed by one or more processors on a display terminal, causes the processors to perform a display method.
