Description
CROSS REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS This patent application is a continuation in part of design patent application Ser. No. 29/971,205 filed on Nov. 1, 2024 and titled “dual compartment storage tube.” The subject matter of design patent application Ser. No. 29/971,205 is hereby incorporated by reference in its entirety. STATEMENT REGARDING FEDERALLY SPONSORED RESEARCH OR DEVELOPMENT Not Applicable. INCORPORATION BY REFERENCE OF MATERIAL SUBMITTED ON A COMPACT DISC Not Applicable. TECHNICAL FIELD The technical field relates generally to storage containers, and more particularly, to storage containers for separately storing multiple items at once. BACKGROUND In various fields ranging from personal use to commercial applications, the need for efficient storage solutions is ever-present. Traditional storage tubes and containers are typically designed with a single compartment, limiting their capacity to hold only one type of item at a time. This presents a challenge for individuals who require the simultaneous transportation and storage of multiple items that need to remain separate to prevent cross-contamination or damage. Existing multi-compartment containers often suffer from several drawbacks. In the market for consumable goods such as pre-rolled cigarettes and gummies, sellers face significant difficulties in offering these products together in suitable packaging. Combining these items poses challenges due to their distinct physical properties and preservation requirements. Pre-rolled cigarettes are fragile and can easily become damaged if not properly protected, necessitating packaging that prevents crushing and exposure to moisture. Gummies, on the other hand, require airtight conditions to maintain their texture and prevent contamination. Existing packaging solutions typically cater to one type of product, lacking the versatility to accommodate both items simultaneously without compromising their integrity. This limitation forces sellers to use separate packages or cumbersome custom solutions, leading to increased production costs, reduced convenience for consumers, and inefficiencies in distribution and merchandising. Another issue with current storage solutions is the lack of independent access to each compartment. In some designs, accessing the contents of one compartment necessitates opening another, which can expose the contents to environmental factors or lead to unintentional mixing of items. This is particularly problematic when storing items that must remain separate due to differences in size, fragility, or sensitivity to environmental conditions such as moisture or air exposure. Furthermore, the sealing mechanisms employed in many existing containers are insufficient for providing airtight or secure closures. This can result in the degradation of perishable items, the escape of odors, or the inadvertent spillage of contents. For users who carry items like pre-rolled cigarettes, edible goods, or small personal effects, the integrity of the seal is crucial to maintain freshness, potency, and overall quality. Therefore, a need exists to overcome the problems with the prior art as discussed above, and particularly for a more efficient and economical apparatus that separately holds or stores multiple items at once.
