Abstract
An adapter module is adapted to be disposed in a casing and is electrically connected with or electrically disconnected from at least one electronic component. The adapter module includes a bracket and an operating member. The operating member is disposed on the bracket. When the operating member is located at a locked position, the bracket and the casing are locked and the at least one electronic component is electrically connected to the adapter module. When the at least one electronic component is electrically disconnected from the adapter module, the operating member is able to be converted from the locked position to an unlocked position to unlock the bracket from the casing. The adapter module may be applied to a chassis and a data processing device to facilitate component maintenance and replacement.

Claims (18)
- 1 . An adapter module adapted to be disposed in a casing and electrically connected with or electrically disconnected from at least one electronic component, the adapter module comprising: a bracket; and an operating member disposed on the bracket; wherein, when the operating member is located at a locked position, the bracket and the casing are locked and the at least one electronic component is electrically connected to the adapter module; wherein, when the at least one electronic component is electrically disconnected from the adapter module, the operating member is able to be converted from the locked position to an unlocked position to unlock the bracket from the casing.
- 2 . The adapter module of claim 1 , further comprising a fixing base and an engaging pin, wherein the fixing base is fixed on the bracket, a driving portion of the operating member abuts against the fixing base, the engaging pin passes through the fixing base and is pivotally connected to the driving portion, and the casing is formed with an engaging hole; wherein, when the operating member rotates between the locked position and the unlocked position, the driving portion drives the engaging pin to protrude from or retract into the bracket, such that the engaging pin engages with or disengages from the engaging hole.
- 3 . The adapter module of claim 2 , further comprising an elastic member disposed in the fixing base, wherein two ends of the elastic member abut against the fixing base and the engaging pin.
- 4 . The adapter module of claim 2 , wherein the driving portion has a long side, a short side and an arc corner, and the arc corner connects the long side and the short side; wherein, when the operating member is located at the locked position, the long side abuts against the fixing base; wherein, when the operating member is located at the unlocked position, the short side abuts against the fixing base.
- 5 . The adapter module of claim 2 , wherein the driving portion is formed with a rotating recess, and an end of the engaging pin is pivotally connected in the rotating recess by a pivot.
- 6 . The adapter module of claim 2 , wherein the casing is formed with an assembly recess allowing the engaging pin to pass; wherein, when the adapter module is reversely assembled to the casing, the engaging pin is misaligned with the assembly recess.
- 7 . The adapter module of claim 1 , further comprising at least one partition, wherein the bracket has an accommodating space, the at least one partition is disposed in the accommodating space along a transverse direction of the bracket, the operating member is disposed in the accommodating space along a longitudinal direction of the bracket, and the at least one partition is formed with an avoidance recess allowing the operating member to rotate between the locked position and the unlocked position.
- 8 . The adapter module of claim 1 , wherein, when the operating member is located at the unlocked position and the at least one electronic component is assembled into the bracket, the at least one electronic component pushes the operating member to rotate from the unlocked position to the locked position.
- 9 . The adapter module of claim 1 , further comprising a circuit board disposed at a back side of the bracket, wherein the at least one electronic component is a fan electrically connected with or electrically disconnected from the circuit board.
- 10 . The adapter module of claim 1 , further comprising an engaging member fixed on the bracket, wherein the engaging member has an elastic arm and an engaging portion extending from the elastic arm, a driving portion of the elastic member abuts against the elastic arm, and the casing is formed with an engaging hole; wherein, when the operating member rotates between the locked position and the unlocked position, the driving portion drives the elastic arm to make the engaging portion protrude from or retract into the bracket, such that the engaging portion engages with or disengages from the engaging hole.
- 11 . The adapter module of claim 1 , wherein the bracket has a sliding portion, the operating member is formed with a sliding groove, and the sliding portion is disposed in the sliding groove.
- 12 . The adapter module of claim 1 , wherein the bracket is formed with a through hole, the operating member has an operating portion, and the operating portion is exposed in the through hole.
- 13 . The adapter module of claim 12 , wherein, when the at least one electronic component is electrically connected to the adapter module, the at least one electronic component covers at least a portion of the through hole.
- 14 . The adapter module of claim 1 , further comprising a power cable disposed in the bracket, wherein the at least one electronic component is a busbar electrically connected with or electrically disconnected from the power cable.
- 15 . The adapter module of claim 14 , wherein the power cable comprises an electrical connector and the casing is formed with an assembly hole allowing the electrical connector to pass; wherein, when the adapter module is reversely assembled to the casing, the electrical connector is misaligned with the assembly hole.
- 16 . The adapter module of claim 14 , further comprising a frame connected to the bracket, wherein the power cable comprises an electrical connector disposed in the frame.
- 17 . A chassis comprising: a casing; and the adapter module of claim 1 disposed on the casing.
- 18 . A data processing device comprising: a chassis comprising a casing and the adapter module of claim 1 disposed on the casing.
Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The invention relates to an adapter module and, more particularly, to an adapter module facilitating component maintenance and replacement, and a chassis and a data processing device equipped with the adapter module. 2. Description of the Prior Art With the rise of big data, machine learning, the Internet of Things, and various network platforms, the demand for servers in life is getting higher and higher. When it is necessary to maintain or replace components in the server, due to the heavy weight and large size of the server, the chassis must be removed from the rack first, such that the maintenance and replacement of components become more difficult. Furthermore, the disassembly and transportation of the chassis will also increase the risk to personnel safety. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION According to an embodiment of the invention, an adapter module is adapted to be disposed in a casing and is electrically connected with or electrically disconnected from at least one electronic component. The adapter module comprises a bracket and an operating member. The operating member is disposed on the bracket. When the operating member is located at a locked position, the bracket and the casing are locked and the at least one electronic component is electrically connected to the adapter module. When the at least one electronic component is electrically disconnected from the adapter module, the operating member is able to be converted from the locked position to an unlocked position to unlock the bracket from the casing. According to an embodiment of the invention, a chassis comprises a casing and the aforesaid adapter module. The adapter module is disposed on the casing. According to an embodiment of the invention, a data processing device comprises a chassis. The chassis comprises a casing and the aforesaid adapter module. The adapter module is disposed on the casing. These and other objectives of the present invention will no doubt become obvious to those of ordinary skill in the art after reading the following detailed description of the preferred embodiment that is illustrated in the various figures and drawings.
